So Sorry...

Hi! I hope you are having a great weekend! I spent the day with my older sister and Mom today. We had a lot of fun checking out a couple of antique malls. I love looking for vintage lace and old buttons to use on my cards. I came across a booth that was selling stamps sets, bling, embossing powders, ribbons. Most of it was Stampin' Up stuff but I did find a PTI stamp set that have had on my wish list...score!!

I needed to make a sympathy card. We lost our neighbor to prostate cancer. They are such a good people and so nice. We will definitely miss him.

I used a couple different sets on the card. The flowers are from Gina K's Dogwood and Butterfly set and the sentiment is from Framed Greetings. I colored the flowers with copics - YR000, YR01, YR02/YG61, YG67/Y11, Y000. I used the same colors along with the colorless blender for the background.

I added a bit of Dazzling Details to the flowers. The pattern paper is My Minds Eye - My Favorite Things. I finished off the card with ribbon, paper flower and leaf flourish.

Thank you for stopping by and enjoy the rest of your weekend!

Bottom of My Heart

Hiya!
I have a card to share with you this evening using Gina K's Simple Hearts stamp set.

I went clean and simple with my design. All of the images and the sentiment are from the stamp set. I have been doing a little crocheting the last few months and made the heart on the card using Blossom Twine from The Twinery.
I finished off the card with a bit more Blossom Twine and a button.

Thank you for visiting!!

2 Teach is 2...

Hello!
Tomorrow is Abbi's last day of school and actually her last year of school at MLCS. We are very blessed that we have been able to send her to such a wonderful Christian School for the past 6 years. It is going to be hard to leave such a close knit, caring group of teachers and staff. It will be especially hard because Abbi has  had the same teacher for the past 3 years and the same kids in her class for the past 6 years.
I have mixed emotions about her beginning middle school. I am so happy and thankful that she is looking forward to this next step in her life but sad that she is old enough to be in middle school! Where did the time go?!!  I am also hesitant that she is heading in to public schools next year but know that she goes with strong Christian foundation and values.

I wanted to make a special card for Abbi to give to Ms Castro and thought that this image from Anne's Digital Art was perfect!
I colored the image with Prisma, Koh-i-noor and Dewent pencils and OMS.
It is matted using SB Squares and Postage Stamp dies.
The sentiment is from Gina K. Designs Back to School stamp set.
The pattern papers are Basic Greys Oxford and Life of the Party.
Keeping with the school theme, I tucked a couple of bingo cards behind the image.

Thank you for checking in with me today!

Geri Utterback provided us with a great color challenge this month - Pink, Red and a neutral color of Black, White or Tan.
I used Black with the Pink and Red.
I created a scene for my card using the Wild About You stamp set illustrated by Theresa Momber.
I used a circle to mask the moon before adding the sky and ground  using a brayer pinks and red ink for the sky and ground. I used sticky notes and a sponge to add the hills. The  sponged the hills stamped the tree with black ink. The elephant is colored with copics - W2, W3, W4, W5, & W6.
I used the wild about you sentiment so I could give this card to my husband for Valentine's Day.

Before I send you on your way to Miesje's Blog I want to remind you to leave a comment on each designer's blog as you hop along because we will choose a random comment and that person will win a grab bag of Gina K Design Products!! Look for the announcement of who won on Tuesday, February 12th!

I used purple, brown and ivory for my non-traditional colors.

The poinsettia's are from A Year of Flowers and were colored with copics - RV 91, 93, 95. I added brown pearls to the centers.
The frame is from Lovely Labels 2 and the sentiment is from Winter Foliage.

Feel The Magic

Hi!
Today I want to share my sample for the Twisted Thursday Challenge at The Outlawz.
As you know our challenges are always "Anything Goes" and each week we add a twist to the challenge. This week the twist is "Snow, Glitter and/or Ice"!
The snowman is a Magnolia image. I colored him with copics and added lots of glitter and stickles. The snow is chunky glitter. To adhere the glitter I used stickles instead of glue which gives it a lot more sparkle.
The circular sentiment is from Gina K Designs Holiday Greetings.

Be sure to stop back tomorrow morning. The Craft's Meow previews start and I can't wait to share these new stamp sets with you!

See you tomorrow!

Peace, Joy & Love

Hiya!
I hope everyone is having a fabulous weekend and my U.S. readers had a very happy Thanksgiving!
I am not a black Friday shopper. I do not like the crowds or the grabby people ;^) so I spent yesterday at my craft table making cards for The Craft's Meow November release. Lisa is sharing the sneak peeks today and tomorrow. The previews start on Monday so I hope you will stop back...I LOVE these months new stamps and think you will too!

I have another Christmas card to share today. This one has no coloring and was really quick to make.

The ornament and sentiment are from Gina K Designs Holiday Hospitality stamp set.
I used a couple of embossing folders. The smaller rectangles are embossed with Sizzix Flower Rings and the back panel is embossed with Sizzix Finial Press. The matting behind the ornament is SB Picot Edge Circle and behind the rectangles are SB Fleur De Lis Rectangles.
To finish off the card I added a few pearl flourishes.

Thank you for visiting and I hope you stop back soon!
Enjoy the rest of your weekend!

Stamp TV CSS Blog Hop

Happy Friday and welcome to a color combination challenge blog hop hosted by members of the Gina K Design CSS Alumni team.
If you came by the way of the very talented Miejse you are right on track. If you just popped in for a visit, I am glad you stopped by and invite you to check out the blog hop from the beginning right here!
As I mentioned this month we have a color combination challenge and I had the opportunity to pick the colors that the girls were to use for their projects. I went with fall colors, Pumpkin Spice, Fresh Asparagus and Sweet Corn plus neutral colors (white, ivory, black, and brown) could also be used.
Along with the color challenge, we are also featuring hand drawn stamp sets designed by Melanie Muenchinger and Theresa Momber
I made two cards to share with you tonight. The first card uses sets from both Melanie and Theresa.

The jar is from Buds and Vases, the sunflowers and sentiment are from Autumn Beauty and the grass stamped in the jar is from Hang In There. The sunflowers are colored with copics - YR20, 21, 23, 27/Y21/G40, 43, 82, 85/E25, 27/B0000, 000.
I added stickles to the petals on the sunflowers for a bit of sparkle.
The papers I used are Gina K's Pure Luxury Pumpkin Spice, Sweet Corn and Dark Chocolate.

I grabbed my brayer, post-it notes and sponges to create my next card.

All the images and sentiment are from the Wild About You stamp set.
I used the brayer to add the sky and ground, then added in the hills with torn post-it notes and sponges.
The giraffe was stamped on a separate piece of cardstock, colored with copics and cut out. I wanted to have the grass around the giraffe's feet in the scene. To do that I cleaned the stamps, covered all but the giraffe's feet and grass with a post it note, inked the feet and grass and removed to post-it note before stamping.
The papers I used Gina K's Pure Luxury Fresh Asparagus and Black Onyx.

Now make sure as you hop along you leave a comment on each designer's blog because on Tuesday morning (September 25), we will randomly choose two comments from all the blogs and two lucky individuals will receive a Gina K. Designs Stamps set each (the winners will receive either a set designed by Melanie Muenchinger or Theresa Momber).

Now I am going to send you on your way to Tera's blog to see her fabulous creation!
Enjoy the rest of the hop!

Fun with you

Hi!
Today I want share a scene card with you that I made using a brayer, sponges and post-it notes.
When making a scene card like this I always start with the sky. After the sky is done then I move on to the water or land. I tore the edge of a post-it note to use as a guide for the islands. The palm trees and branches are images from Gina K Designs Aloha stamp set. The sentiment is also from that set. The couple in the boat is from the Eclectic Summer stamp set.

Thank you for stopping by and I hope you are able to enjoy one of your favorite things to do today!

Here is my take on the sketch. This time I was not a rebel and pretty much kept with the sketch :)

I used the Bold Flowers Stamp and the kissing technique for the top square panel. The sentiment is from Pleasant Plurals. I added a bit of stitching around a couple of the layers and finished off the card with pearls.

It's a zoo!

Happy Thursday!
It's time for a new Twisted Thursday challenge at The Outlawz.  The twist or this week is "Zoo".
When I was looking through my stamps to make my project for the challenge I saw this tortoise from Gina K Designs Little Critters stamp set. It reminded me of our visit to Reptile World while on vacation. There were BIG tortoises that you could pet.  Their head/neck and legs have a leather feel to them.  Abbi and I also got to touch an alligator and she touched a python…not me though, I’m scare do death of snakes and do not go anywhere near them!
On to my sample –
I created a little scene for my tortoise.  I used a brayer to add the sky and ground. The cattails image is from Gone Fishing. I stamped them on the ground and colored them with Koh-i-noor pencils and OMS. The sun, clouds and the grass are MFT dies.  The tortoise is colored with copics – YG21, 91, 93, 97/E89. I cut him out and tucked him between the blades of grass.   The sentiment is from Life is Good.

Be sure to pop over to the challenge and check out the samples the rest of the DT has made to share.  As always, we would love for you to play along with us for a chance to win some fabulous prizes!

ARE YOU READY TO PARTY?!!!

Tonight The Outlawz is kicking off a week long party to celebrate 2000 members and what a party it will be!! Our theme for the party is "Where In The World?"
Because the party is for our members we want to know where all of you are from!!

There are games, challenges, a blog hop and of course tons of prizes to be won!!
I have to say that I am a bit jealous that I can not win those prizes ;-)

My fellow Twisted Thursday DT gals and I have come up with a challenge that has the perfect twist for the party theme - "Patriotic"

Here is my Where in the World? - Patriotic sample -

I went with a stars and stripes theme, along with the red, white and blue for the United States. The red, white and blue also represents the Norwegian heritage that Stoughton WI is famous for.
The pattern papers are Bo Bunny's Liberty. The sentiment is from Gina K Designs Stars stamp set.

Now head over to the party and click on the 2000 Member tab where you will find all of the details for the TT challenge, the party festivities and list of all of those fabulous prizes up or grabs!

Two ships in the night

Happy Thursday!
This week we have another fun Twisted Thursday challenge for you.
The twist this week is Transportation.
As I was going all of my stamps sets looking for stamps that would fit this challenge, I came across a cute little sailboat from the Oh Boy! stamp set by Gina K Designs.
I wanted to create a scene for the boats so I pulled out my brayer and some different shades or teal/turquoise ink to create the water and sky.  The island with the palm trees is a stamp from Aloha, also Gina K Design.
I paper pieced the boat with MME Miss Carolina – Dilly Dally papers and used the same papers on the card.  I love the colors in the Dilly Dally pack!
The sun was colored with copics – Y21 & Y23.  The sentiment is from Pleasant Plurals and was cut out using spellbinders Lacey Pennants.
I did not want to take away from the focal image so I just added a bit of twine and a few buttons for embellishments.
My fellow TT DT gals and I would love for you to play along with us!  We have some wonderful prizes that you can win that are specific to the TT challenge along with many other monthly site wide prizes!  You can find the TT challenge prizes here and the site wide prized on The Outlawz Main Page.

Mix It Up Monday - Bingo

Hi and Happy Monday!
I am thrilled to be hosting this weeks Mix It Up Monday challenge on Stamp TV
I thought it would be fun to play Bingo with all of you this week! However, I needed to make it a bit challenging for you so we are playing Color Bingo. Sound like fun?!!

Here is the Bingo card we will be using for the challenge.
Bingo rules are really simple - choose any row, either down, across or diagonally and use those three colors in that row to create your project. You may also use either White or Ivory with the colors in the row that you choose.
I used all Gina K Designs Pure Luxury Paper to create the bingo card. These are the colors from left to right.
Row 1: Pumpkin Spice, Moonlit Fog, Bubblegum Pink
Row 2: Turquoise Sea, Smokey Slate, Wild Dandelion
Row 3: Tan Leather, Passionate Pink, Green Apple

Here is my card -
I used the colors from the top row (Pumpkin Spice/Moonlit Fog/Bubblegum Pink) and white as my neutral color. The pattern papers are from My Minds Eye Indie Chic paper pack.
The sentiment is from Gina K Designs Dreams stamp set. I stitched along the center of the ric rac pieces of paper with white twine. I also added some random stitching on the card with my sewing machine.

I would love for you to come and play along with me! You can find the challenge here.
If you do play along, please create and upload a new project for this challenge. You may not link a previous card/project. You can combine this challenge with other challenges outside of Stamp TV, however, you can not combine this challenge with other Stamp TV challenges to be eligible to win a prize.  When you upload your card to the gallery be sure to add the tag STV12MON22 to ensure you are entered into the drawing for the prize.

The deadline for your challenge is Sunday June 24th at 8:00 pm CT.

And remember you don't have to use Gina K. Designs stamps, but if you do your name will go into the drawing twice!

Have fun and I can not wait to see Bingo creations filling up the Stamp TV gallery!

The All American Game

Happy Thursday!
It’s time for another Twisted Thursday challenge at The Outlawz.
This weeks twist is sports.
I pulled out a few of my Gina K Design stamps to make my sport's themed card, Just So Sporty, Sporty Accessories, and Little Tees.  The red polka dot paper is from my scrap drawer. The red cardstock behind the pattern paper was embossed with a Paper Studio Embossing Folder called Tiny Stars. The star behind the baseball shirt is embossed with Cuttlebug's Swiss Dots Embossing Folder.
I paper pieced the bat with a scrap of wood grain  paper.  The shirt and hat are colored with copics - R22, R24, R27/C00, C0.

CSS Alumni Blog Hop

Welcome to the Stamp TV's CSS Alumni May blog hop!
If you came by the way of Miesje’s fabulous blog you are right on track. If not, please head over to Stamp TV to start at the beginning so you do not miss any of the wonderful creations the girls have made to share with all of us.
This month Brenda provided us with this fabulous photo to use as our inspiration when creating our projects.
I noticed that beautiful quilt right away and then the flowers on the pillow and used those two things as inspiration for my card.

The vase of flowers is from Purr-fectly Delightful and is colored with copics – R02, 05, 08/E23, 25, 27, 29, 40, 41/BG10, 11/YG21, 23, 25/C00, 0, 1/W00, 0.
I added a bit of stickles to the flower petals and centers. The sentiment is from Fanciful Tags.
I tried to create a quilt look for my background by embossing the pattern paper, adding stitching along the edges and inking around the edges with distressed ink.  I finished it off with lace and pearl flourishes.
Now before I send you on your way to the see what gorgeous creation Tera has to share, I want to remind you to leave a comment on each designer's blog as you hop along. On Tuesday morning (May 15), we will randomly choose one of the comments from all the blogs and that lucky person will receive a huge grab bag of fabulous Gina K. Gina K Designs April CSS Hop

Welcome to the Stamp TV's CSS hop!
If you came from the talented Tera's blog you are right on track. If not, please head over to Stamp TV to start at the beginning so you do not miss the eye candy that the girls have created to share with all of  you.
This month Melissa provided us with this fun sketch for our inspiration.

I decided it would be fun to flip the sketch....so that's what I did ;D

This fashionable lady is from the Sew Pretty stamp set. I paper pieced her dress and apron with the same pattern papers I used on the card which is Cosmo Crickets Material Girl. She reminds me so much of June Clever so I could not resist adding pearls for her bracelet, necklace and earring.

Card Supplies:
Stamps: Gina K Designs - Sew Pretty
Ink: Memento
Paper: Gina K Designs - Pure Luxury, Cosmo Cricket - Material Girl, Copic Blending
Other: Spellbinders - Rectangles, Sewing Machine, Copics - R11/E000, 00, 31, 35/YR20, W00, 0.

Wedding Twist

It's time for another Twisted Thursday Challenge! This week the Twisted Thursday challenge is "Anything Goes" and the twist is make it a "Wedding Card".  If you follow the twist you get your name entered twice for the month end draw from "icopic", which is our exclusive monthly sponsor.
If you enter two or more cards into the weekly challenge you will get a free digi.

Here is my sample for the challenge -
Digging through my stash of stamps, I realized I only had 1 wedding stamp set...yuppers, just one! You would think that would make it easy wouldn't you? Not for me! lol! I alway pull out several stamp sets when I make a card so I can pick the one that works best with the layout I have in mind. So just having one stamp set kind of threw me off ;-)
The stamp set is Gina K Designs With This Ring. I colored with bells with copics - R00, 30, 32, 35, 37/N0, 1, 2, 3, 4.
The rolled roses are cut from felt and I added a pearl to the centers. Instead of adding leaves with the roses I added a couple of swirl flourishes.

Please visit the challenge post and check out the rest of the DT samples. They are amazing and hopefully they will inspire you to play along!
Thank you so much for stopping by!
