Be Happy and Smile

Hello!
Today I am sharing a card that I made using a stamp set from My Favorite Things called Pretty Pocket. I have had this set in my stash for quite away but had not had the chance to get it inky until recently. Unfortunately, it is now retired :(

The flowers were colored with copics and fussy cut out. I used the corresponding die to cut out the pocket before stamping the stitching, leaves and flourishes. The pattern papers are Simple Stories Vintage Bliss and the bingo cards tucked in the pocket are from a sheet of Vintage Bliss which I cut out.
I finished off the card with Twine from The Twinery and a button.

Have a happy day!

Thank You

Hello!

This week at The Outlawz the Twisted Thursday Challenge Group is playing Bingo!
The sentiment is from My Favorite Things. I made the flowers using pattern paper and a scalloped circle punch. I added rhinestones to the leaf flourish then dabbed a touch of glitter glaze on top to really make them sparkle.
I used a couple different SU/Sizzix embossing folder for texture and finished off with a ribbon bow.

I hope you will swing by and check it out! My DT pal Patricia has created a new Bingo board for the challenge!

Fruity for You

Happy Friday!!
I have been seeing a lot of the black board technique and I wanted to give it a try :^)

I used the Fruity for You stamp set by The Craft's Meow. I love the fun fruit images and sentiments. The pears and sentiment are heat embossed with white embossing powder on black cardstock. You can not see it in the picture but I popped up the heart and the leaves for a bit of dimension.
I finished off the card with buttons, twine and a clip.
The papers are Basic Grey scraps.

I hope you have a wonderful weekend! Ashley, Abbi and I are taking a trip to Ikea to buy the rest of the baby furniture. I have never been there and so excited to finally check the place out. I may even find a thing or two for me ;^)

Gift Card Card Holder

Hi!
I have a Christmas card with a built in gift card holder to share with you today. I know Christmas is over but I realized I had not share this here on my blog yet.

This image is My Favorite Things IB-Christmas. The pattern papers are retired SU.

Here is a peek at the inside so you can see how I created a little tab for the gift card. This design could be used for a birthday or any other occasion that you may give a gift card as the gift.

Thank you for checking in on me today!

Winter Friends

Happy Sunday my friends!
Today I have a bit fun news to share with you - I have been selected as this weeks Featured Stamper on Splitcoaststampers! I still can not believe that my little gallery was selected for this honor and let me tell you I feel more than honored that it was! I was checking out the submissions and I was so inspired by their cards!

My card today is for this weeks Twisted Thursday Challenge at The Outlawz but was made with all of you, my readers and followers in mind. The twist this week is Winter Friends.
I am so blessed that you take the time to visit and see what I have been up to. I have made so many wonderful friendships in this crafting community and I am so blessed and my heart is full!

The image is a MFT Pure Innocence called Merry Kissmas. I paper pieced a lot of the image and colored the rest with copics. I added snow glitter for the snow and used liquid applique and glitter for the trim on the hats.

Have a wonderful rest of your day and THANK YOU for stopping by!

It's a Circus!

Hello!
Today I wanted to share my card for this weeks Twisted Thursday Challenge group at The Outlawz . This week we have a really fun twist, "Circus"!
My clown is a Mayzy's digital image. I wish I could link it up for you but Mayzy has taken some time off to deal with family issues. I had a lot of fun coloring her to match the MME Miss Caroline - Dilly Dally pattern papers. I used my copics of course ;^) The colors I used are: BG10, 11, 18, 53, 57/Y13, 15, 19/R01, R02/W000, 0/T2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7/E000, 00, 02, 07, 08, 09.
The larger ticket is from My Favorite Things Just the Ticket stamp and die set. The smaller tickets is from Sweet N Sassy's The Bigtop stamp set.  I added quite a bit of stickles to make this clown really sparkle.
I finished off the card with twine and buttons.
Be sure to stop by the TT Challenge Group to the rest of the Circus themed cards by the DT. They are amazing as always!

Thanks for checking in with my and enjoy your day!

Best Friends

Hiya!
Today I have a card to share that I made for The Outlawz Twisted Thursday Challenge group. The challenge is always “Anything Goes” and each week we throw in a twist. If you add the twist to your project then your name goes in the drawing twice for the prize specific to the Twisted Thursday challenge.
This week the twist is Friends.

When I saw this darling digi by Saturated Canary called Queenie and Princess, it reminded me of my two girls and the unique friendship that sisters have.
I colored the girls with copics Y11, 13, 15/B0000, 00, 01/E000, 00, 13, 21, 30, 31, 40, 41, 42, 43, 50, 53, 70, 71, 74, 77/R20, 21, 22, 24, 27, 30, 32, 35/BG10, 11, 13, 23.
The sentiment is My Favorite Things Complimentary Greetings and was cut out with their Fish Tail Flag Stax dies.
All queens and princesses have to have some sparkle so I added stickles to the hat, crown, shoes, dress ribbon, shirt on the princess and the queens eye shadow.

Stop by the TT challenge and see what my fellow DT gals created for the challenge twist.
Enjoy the rest of your day!

Thanks!

Happy Friday!
I was re-organizing my crafting corner and felt I needed to organize my patter paper scraps better so I use them instead of tossing them in a drawer never to be scene again :) I ended up putting scraps with their matching pattern paper packs for the ones I still have, but I am not sure what to do with the ones that do not belong to a pattern paper pack . If you have come up with a way that you like to store your scraps and works, please let me know!
When ever I get in the mood to re-organize, I look for new and better way to store my supplies and tools. This time I came across some cool crates at Hobby Lobby that are perfect to store my border punches, clear stamps and embossing folders.

After I was done re-organizing I made a card using some of those scraps of pattern paper.
The only thing stamped is the sentiment which is from My Favorite Things Big Greetings.  I believe the scraps are from Basic Grey's Hello Luscious. I used a few MFT Dienamics - Rolled Scalloped Rose, FishTail Flag Stax and Monarch Border.

Maybe I should make some more of these sentiment only cards with lots of layers to use up those misc. scraps of pattern paper ;)

Thank you for checking in today and have a fabulous weekend!

Going Fishing

Hi!
I know my blog has been pretty quiet the past few weeks.  I think I left my creative mojo out west when we were on vacation. I have been struggling every time I sit at my craft table to make a card.
We also had one of our precious dogs pass away while we were on vacation and we are having a hard time adjusting to her not being with us.  I know anyone that has lost a pet understands how hard it is.
Anyway, I just wanted to let you know why I have been so quiet and that I will hopefully back to sharing projects on a regular bases soon :)

Today is Thursday which means it it time for the Twisted Thursday challenge at The Outlawz.  This week the twist is fishing.
I pulled out one of my Ala Mode stamps called Something's Fishy from My Favorite Things to create my card.
I paper pieced the gals outfit and fish. The 'water' is layered scalloped borders that were embossed with a Sizzix folder called Bubbles. The flower was cut out with the Hibiscus Flower Dienamics, also by MFT.
The pattern paper is Echo Parks Summer Days. The blues really have a green tone to them which seems to have been lost in my picture.

My fellow TT DT gals and I would love for you to play along with us!  We have some wonderful prizes that you can win that are specific to the TT challenge along with many other monthly site wide prizes!  You can find the TT challenge prizes here and the site wide prized on The Outlawz Main Page.

We have had record high temps here in Southern WI. Today is suppose to be 104 with a 112 heat index.
If it is HOT where you live, I hope you are able to keep cool today!
Enjoy your day!

Thursday, June 14

I look up to you...

Happy Thursday!
Today I am sharing a card I made for this week’s Twisted Thursday challenge at The Outlawz.
My fellow DT gals and I have a fun challenge twist for you this week – Animals!

For my card I used a MFT Pure Innocence Image called Giraffe Girl .  She is colored with copics – E00, 23, 25, 27, 50, 70, 71, 74, 77/YR20, 21, 23/R81, 83, 85/YG91, 93, 97.  I added a strip of grass by her feet using my MFT Fresh Cut Grass Die .  I made sure to keep a bit of her pink shoes sticking out J
I found some of Basics Grey’s Sugared pattern paper in my stash that has little giraffes on it and could not resist using it with this image.
Since the focal image was bigger and covered a lot of the 5x5 card, I went with minimal embellishments using just twill ribbon, twine and a button.

You can find all of the details about the challenge here including what prizes are up for grabs!
I hope to see our challenge gallery filling up with your animal creations this week!
Enjoy your day!

Rainy Days

Happy Thursday my crafty friends!
It’s time for another Twisted Thursday challenge at The Outlawz. This week our twist is “Rainy Day”.
I pulled out one of my beloved Pure Innocence images, My Umbrella, for this challenge. One of my favorite things to do with the PI images is to paper piece their clothing. So that is what I did with this adorable image.
Since there are a few raindrops coming down, I added a little water puddle around her feet. All kids like to stomp around in the rain puddles right?  ;-)
Now I know not everyone likes raining days so I added a sentiment just for those that love sunshine J It is from Lili of the Valley’s Dreamy Day Circular Sentiments.

I hope you will check out the challenge and be inspired to play along. We even have some wonderful prizes that you can win!

Thanks for stopping by!

A beautiful song

Hi
I found time this weekend to make a couple of cards. This was made for the My Favorite Things Wednesday Stamp Club.
The sentiment is from the Classic Kids VIP Kit. The bird and birdcage was cut out using the Contempo Cage Die. I added a feather to the tail of the bird to give it a bit of flair ;-)
There is not much to explain about the card as it was very quick and easy card to make.

Stamp Supplies:
Stamps: MFT - Sentiment from Classic Kids VIP Kit
Ink: SU
Paper: SU, Gina K Designs, MME - Fine and Dandy True Blue
Other: MFT - Contempo Cage Die, Spellbinders - Long Rectangles, Twine, Pearl, Eyelets, Feather

Something's Fishy

Hi!

I had started this card to play along with a MFTWSC challenge but had such a hard time finishing it that I missed the deadline for the challenge. It was a fairly easy sketch, but I could not find the right embellishments to add to it. I still think it needs something more but am not sure what. Ever been stumped like that?
The gal is a MFT Ala Mode called Something's Fishy. I colored her hair, pants and skin with copics. E000,00/E25, 31, 33, 34/E40, 41. I couldn't resist paper piecing the fish in pink pattern papers which reminded me a bit of the scales on a fish.

Card Supplies:
Stamps: MFT Something's Fishy
Ink: Memento, Versafine, Copics
Paper: Bazzill, Copic Blending, Authentique - Splendid
Other: PTI Banner Die, Button, Twine, Clear Embossing Powder

Thanks for visiting me today!

All my heart

Hi!
Last night we went to the High School Pop's concert. This is an annual event for my DH, DD and I. This years concert was the best that we have seen so far. There was alot of kids that had amazing voices! I also was surprised at how many more choir/choral students there were this year compared to last year. But then they have a fantastic director who used to be in the Lucas Cates Band. What is cool about that the band plays most of the music for the kids...what kid wouldn't love that! On top of that the band even play a song or two themselves :) What I love the most about going to this concert is watching Abbi's reactions and listening to her comments. After one guy finished singing she leaned over and told me that he could be the next Johnny Cash...too cute!

I have another Valentine's card to share with you. I guess it could also be a love themed card that you could use for an Anniversary card for you 'Honey' :)

The sentiment is from My Favorite Things - Love You With All My Heart and the ticket is from their Just the Ticket stamp set and matching ticket die.
I used a sketch from a recent MFT Weekly Sketch challenge. I tried to have the card done so I could enter it in that weeks sketch challenge but I was a day late :(

Card Supplies:
Stamps: MFT Love you with all my heart, Ticket
Ink: SU
Paper: Bazzill, GKD, MME Be Loved
Other: Jute Ribbon, Buttons, Twine, Spellbinders - Ribbon Tag Trio 3 & Labels 14, MFT Heart Die

Have a terrific day!!

I RAWR you!

Hi!
It's Thursday and that means there is a new Twisted Thursday's Challenge at The Outlawz. This week our challenge is to create a project with a Valentine/Love theme.
This is my sample for the challenge.
I used one of My Favorite Things Pure Innocence stamp set called Loveosaurus. I paper pieced to Dino costume with Basic Grey's Bittersweet pattern paper, which I also used on the card. Unfortunately I could not find the Loveosaurus stamp in the MFT store so I link it up for you.
The border is MFT's Oval Chain Border and I threaded Baker's Twine through the chains. The sentiment is cut out using MFT's File Tab die. I actually used the die on both sides of the paper to get that fun shape. The grass the dino is standing in is cut out with MFT's Fresh Cut Grass die.
Card Supplies:
Stamps: MFT - Loveosaurus
Ink: Memento, Versamark
Paper: Bazzill, Copic Blending, Basic Grey - Bittersweet
Other: Black Embossing Powder, MFT Dies - Oval Chain Border, Fresh Cut Grass & File Tab , Buttons, Twine, Copics - E000, E00, Spellbinders - Rectangles

We would love for you to check out the challenge and hopefully you will be inspired to play along with us this week ;)

Enjoy your day!
