A rose for Mom

Happy Monday cyber friends!!

It has been raining on and off all weekend and still raining today! Yuck!
Saturday we went to WI Badger game and I froze my hinny off!! It was a good game but I would have enjoyed it much more if it wasn't raining and was warmer!! Before the game we went to a tailgate party put on by a local radio station. My hubby won free passes for it...they had free food and beverages. That was fun!!
I should have stayed there during the game lol!
The rest of my weekend was spent craft table working on some projects that I can not show you yet...here's a hint...they are for an upcoming party!!!

I realized I had not shared this card with you yet. This was published in the May/June issue of Through The Craftroom Door Magazine.
The rose and leaves are from Heartfelt Creations Grandiflora Rose and Leafy Swirls stamps sets. I stamped the rose 4 times on pattern paper with versamark and heat embossed with gold embossing powder. Then cut out different pieces of three of the roses to layer them for dimension. The leaves and sentiment are also heat embossed with the gold embossing powder. The pin and charm have been in my stash for quite a while. I believe they are on of T.H.'s Ideology collections.

Thanks for stopping by today and I hope it bright and sunny wherever you are!

With Love

Hi! I am finally back!!! My laptop is all fixed and I had a nice chat with my daughter about being on the internet and where she can and can not go while she is on there. Now we will see if she remembers our talk. She has been telling me lately that only certain things go to her long term memory and most goes to the short term so it's really not her fault that she doesn't remember things...um...ya...good excuse Abbi! lol! I have tons of retired Stampin Up pattern papers that I have been hoarding. I decided that I really need to start using it and making room for some new papers so I pulled out one of my favorite packs to make this card. The rose is from the Grandiflora Rose stamp set by Heartfelt Creations. I stamped it 4 times on a piece of pattern paper with versamark and heat embossed with Zinger's Brown Sugar embossing powder. I cut out the flowers and layered them to give the rose a bit of dimension. The leaves are from the Leafy Swirls stamp set, also by Heartfelt Creations. The leaves were also stamped on pattern paper with versamark and heart embossed with the brown sugar embossing powder. The sentiment is from the Sent With Love stamp set by Layers of Color. Have a wonderful Wednesday and thank you so much for visiting me today! Golden Rose

Hiya friends!!

I was uploading a couple of cards last night to SplitCoast and saw that one of the cards I uploaded last week was mentioned in the General Stamping Talk forum, in the FAVORITES for the week ending March 13, 2011. The card that was mentioned as a favorite is this one here. I am so excited!!! Thank you Sheila for adding my card to the Favorites!!!

As promised yesterday, here is the card I made to share this past Sunday when I got together with friends. This card was literally thrown together in an hour that Sunday morning. Talk about waiting til the last minute huh? lol!

Card Supplies:
Stamps: Heartfelt Creations & PTI
Paper: SU
Ink: Versamark
Other: Spellbinders Circles & Lacey Circles, PTI Double Ended Banner, Misc Swirl Die, Gold Embosssing Powder, Gold Leafing Pen

The rose is from the Heartfelt Creations stamp set called GrandiFlora Rose. I stamped the rose with versamark 3 times on pattern paper and heat embossed with gold embossing powder. I cut a portion of each rose out and popped up the layers with foam dimensionals. The leaf is is also stamped on pattern paper and embossed with gold embossing powder. The leaf is from the Heartfelt Creations stamp set called Leafy Swirls.
The pattern papers are SU and are now retired. I have been hoarding them for a long time and finally decided it was ok to use them. lol! The cardstock is also SU, Blue Bayou and River Rock.
The sentiment is from Paper Trey Ink's Round & Round stamp set and is stamped on their Double Ended Banner. I used my Gold Leafing Pen to go around the edge of the banner so it matches the embossed rose.

Thank you so much for stopping by to see me today! I hope you stop back often!

It's all about circles

Hiya!

I have a quick post for you this morning before I head out the door. I am spending the day with my family, doing a bit of shopping, maybe a movie and lots of eating! It's going to be a great day!

The card I am sharing today is inspired by a few challenges -

Ink: Copics, SU

The flower is from one of my new stamps sets that I got this past weekend at the Rubber Stamp and Scrapbooking show. It is Heartfelt Creations Innoscents Flower 2 and it coordinates with Spellbinders Blossom 2 dies. The stem and leaves are from Heartfelt Creations Stems and Leaves set.
The flowers were stamped on Copic X-press It paper. I love this paper for coloring with copics! I have tried many different papers and found this one to be the best, love, love, love it!!!! I colored the flower with copics R07, R08, R09, YR21, YR23, YR24.
