Thank You

Hello!

This week at The Outlawz the Twisted Thursday Challenge Group is playing Bingo!
The sentiment is from My Favorite Things. I made the flowers using pattern paper and a scalloped circle punch. I added rhinestones to the leaf flourish then dabbed a touch of glitter glaze on top to really make them sparkle.
I used a couple different SU/Sizzix embossing folder for texture and finished off with a ribbon bow.

I hope you will swing by and check it out! My DT pal Patricia has created a new Bingo board for the challenge!

Button Flower

Hello!

It seems like forever since I have shared a sample for the Twisted Thursday challenge at The Outlawz
This week the twist for our Anything Goes challenge is Buttons!
Here is my sample -
I used all October Afternoon scrap paper on my card. Before making the rosette, I used one of my Martha Stewart border punches along the edge of the paper for a little different look.

The flower in the center of the rosette is from The Craft's Meow Stitched Flowers set. I colored the flower with copics - R32, R35, R37/YG03, YG25/Y13, Y15, R19. I added a button to the center of the flower.
The sentiment is from TCM's Summertime Fun with Fibi and Lilly.  I included a little button on the end of the banner.
I hope you will stop by The Outlawz and check out the rest of the DT samples. As always, we would love for you to play along with us!

Enjoy your day and thank you for stopping by!

Fruit Just For You

Hello!

I wanted to share a card that I made for this weeks Twisted Thursday Challenge at The Outlawz. The challenge this week was 'Food'.
I used SU's Perfectly Preserved stamp set along with the coordinating Cannery Framelits.
The pattern paper is October Afternoon's Farm Fresh which I thought went perfectly with these stamps and dies.
The sentiment is part of the Perfectly Preserved stamp set. I finished off the card with buttons and red twine.
I invite you to stop by the TT Challenge and check out the rest of the project the challenge group has created.

I hope you had a great start to your week!

Hello!

I wanted to share my sample I made for this weeks Twisted Thursday challenge at The Outlawz.
The challenge is always anything goes and each week we add a twist for you to add to your creation if you choose to.
This week the twist is 3D.

I added a rolled flower to my card for the 3D twist. The flower is made out of white fleece. I added a pearl to the center of the flower.
The flower image is from TCM's Stitched Flowers stamp set and is colored with copics BV04, BV23, BV25/R11, R20, R21, R22/BG000/YG91, YG93, YG97.
The papers are MME Stella and Rose Hazel. I finished off the card with a bit of lace and leaves for the rolled flower.

Winter Cheer

Happy Monday!
My life has been quite hectic the past few months. Between work, family and my first grand child due in 6 weeks, I have had very little time to spend on my crafting. What little time I have to craft I am working on my design work.
Abbi swim has wrapped up so I will have more crafting time! Yay!

I made this card for one of The Outlawz Twisted Thursday challenge a while ago.
The image is from Saturated Canary called Nikki. She is colored with copics - BG70, BG72, BG75/E000, E00, E21, E04/R20, R81/E33, E35/E40, E41, E42, E43, E44, E47/N0, N1, N2.
I added stickles to her bow, skirt and pom poms. The snowflakes are covered with frosted stickles and have  a rhinestone in the centers. The pattern papers are from an older pack of My Minds Eye.

Thank you so much for stopping by and I hope you stop back again soon!

Thanks Bee to Thee

Hi!

I have a card to share today that I made for The Outlawz Twisted Thursday Challenge.
The Twisted Thursday Challenge is always anything goes and each week we add a twist. Now you do not have to add the twist to your creation but if you do, your name will go in the drawing twice for a chance to win the monthly Twisted Thursday prize.
This week the twist is to use pattern paper, brads and embossing.
Here is my sample -

I used scraps of pattern paper for my honeycomb border, a Sizzix honeycomb embossing folder and a gold brad. The sentiment and bee image is from The Craft's Meow Thanks Bee to Thee stamp set. I sponged a bit of ink around the bee and sentiment for a sky look. I colored the bee with copics Y13 and added stickles to the wings. I finished off the card with a ribbon bow and flower accent.

I invite you to visit the TT challenge and check out my DTeamies samples along with the prizes that could be won. We would love for you to play along with us!

Thank you for stopping by and enjoy your day!

I used copics to color her - R20, 21, 22, 24, 27/BG0000, 10, 11, 23, 32/C00, 0.
I added stickled and glitter to the scarf, hat and present for a bit of sparkle.
The only other embellishments I used was bakers twine.

Be an Angel

Happy Friday!
This past week Abbi has started practices with the swim team. She has practice Monday through Friday. I think this schedule is going to take some time to get used to...at least for Mom anyway! lol!
Wednesday my wonderful hubby took her so I could meet up with a couple of my good friends for dinner. Waving hi to Sue and Jess! You too Shelly...we sure missed you!

I am a day behind in sharing my card for this weeks Twisted Thursday Challenge group at The Outlawz . This week our twist is called "Be an Angel"!
 This sweet angel is by Saturated Canary. I can not give you a link to her because I do not see her in the shop right now. She is colored with copics - BG53, 57/E000, 00, 21, 40, 42, 43, 44, R21, 22, 20, 24, 27, 29, 30/Y000, 11, 15, 19, 28/YG91, 93, 97/YR23/W00, 1, 3, 5.
I added stickles to her wings, petticoat and the ornaments. The poinsettia is from Wild Orchid Crafts.

Be sure to stop by the TT Challenge Group to the rest of the cards made by the DT for the Be an Angel twist. They are fantastic!

Thanks for checking in with me today and have a awesome weekend!

Bloomin' Bears

Happy Friday!
I am a bit late sharing my challenge card for this weeks  Twisted Thursday Challenge group at The Outlawz . This week our twist is "Teddy Bears".

This little guy is a Lili of the Valley image called Blooming Lovely.  The sentiment came along with the image. I used copics to color the image, R02, 05, 20/G82, 85/Y21, 23, 32/BG0000, 000/E30, 31, 33, 40, 41, 71, 74, 77, 95, 97, 99. After I colored the teddy bear, I took an old cloth and squirted a bit of my colorless blending solution on it then dabbed the teddy bear to make it look like his fur had texture. I think I dabbed a bit too much on the top of his head and paws because they turned out lighter than I wanted.
I added stickles to the sunflower petals, leaves, hearts, the wing of the butterfly and the bee.

Be sure to stop by the TT Challenge Group to see my DT Sistah's cards. They are fantastic! I even requested a tutorial on how they colored their bears ;^)

I hope the rest of your Friday is Fabulous!
Thanks for stopping by!

Best Friends

Hiya!
Today I have a card to share that I made for The Outlawz Twisted Thursday Challenge group. The challenge is always “Anything Goes” and each week we throw in a twist. If you add the twist to your project then your name goes in the drawing twice for the prize specific to the Twisted Thursday challenge.
This week the twist is Friends.

When I saw this darling digi by Saturated Canary called Queenie and Princess, it reminded me of my two girls and the unique friendship that sisters have.
I colored the girls with copics Y11, 13, 15/B0000, 00, 01/E000, 00, 13, 21, 30, 31, 40, 41, 42, 43, 50, 53, 70, 71, 74, 77/R20, 21, 22, 24, 27, 30, 32, 35/BG10, 11, 13, 23.
The sentiment is My Favorite Things Complimentary Greetings and was cut out with their Fish Tail Flag Stax dies.
All queens and princesses have to have some sparkle so I added stickles to the hat, crown, shoes, dress ribbon, shirt on the princess and the queens eye shadow.

Stop by the TT challenge and see what my fellow DT gals created for the challenge twist.
Enjoy the rest of your day!

It's a zoo!

Happy Thursday!
It's time for a new Twisted Thursday challenge at The Outlawz.  The twist or this week is "Zoo".
When I was looking through my stamps to make my project for the challenge I saw this tortoise from Gina K Designs Little Critters stamp set. It reminded me of our visit to Reptile World while on vacation. There were BIG tortoises that you could pet.  Their head/neck and legs have a leather feel to them.  Abbi and I also got to touch an alligator and she touched a python…not me though, I’m scare do death of snakes and do not go anywhere near them!
On to my sample –
I created a little scene for my tortoise.  I used a brayer to add the sky and ground. The cattails image is from Gone Fishing. I stamped them on the ground and colored them with Koh-i-noor pencils and OMS. The sun, clouds and the grass are MFT dies.  The tortoise is colored with copics – YG21, 91, 93, 97/E89. I cut him out and tucked him between the blades of grass.   The sentiment is from Life is Good.

Be sure to pop over to the challenge and check out the samples the rest of the DT has made to share.  As always, we would love for you to play along with us for a chance to win some fabulous prizes!

Thanks for stopping by!

Going Fishing

Hi!
I know my blog has been pretty quiet the past few weeks.  I think I left my creative mojo out west when we were on vacation. I have been struggling every time I sit at my craft table to make a card.
We also had one of our precious dogs pass away while we were on vacation and we are having a hard time adjusting to her not being with us.  I know anyone that has lost a pet understands how hard it is.
Anyway, I just wanted to let you know why I have been so quiet and that I will hopefully back to sharing projects on a regular bases soon :)

Today is Thursday which means it it time for the Twisted Thursday challenge at The Outlawz.  This week the twist is fishing.
I pulled out one of my Ala Mode stamps called Something's Fishy from My Favorite Things to create my card.
I paper pieced the gals outfit and fish. The 'water' is layered scalloped borders that were embossed with a Sizzix folder called Bubbles. The flower was cut out with the Hibiscus Flower Dienamics, also by MFT.
The pattern paper is Echo Parks Summer Days. The blues really have a green tone to them which seems to have been lost in my picture.

My fellow TT DT gals and I would love for you to play along with us!  We have some wonderful prizes that you can win that are specific to the TT challenge along with many other monthly site wide prizes!  You can find the TT challenge prizes here and the site wide prized on The Outlawz Main Page.

We have had record high temps here in Southern WI. Today is suppose to be 104 with a 112 heat index.
If it is HOT where you live, I hope you are able to keep cool today!
Enjoy your day!

The Outlawz 2000 Member Party!

ARE YOU READY TO PARTY?!!!

Tonight The Outlawz is kicking off a week long party to celebrate 2000 members and what a party it will be!! Our theme for the party is "Where In The World?"
Because the party is for our members we want to know where all of you are from!!

There are games, challenges, a blog hop and of course tons of prizes to be won!!
I have to say that I am a bit jealous that I can not win those prizes ;-)

My fellow Twisted Thursday DT gals and I have come up with a challenge that has the perfect twist for the party theme - "Patriotic"

Here is my Where in the World? - Patriotic sample -

I went with a stars and stripes theme, along with the red, white and blue for the United States. The red, white and blue also represents the Norwegian heritage that Stoughton WI is famous for.
The pattern papers are Bo Bunny's Liberty. The sentiment is from Gina K Designs Stars stamp set.

Now head over to the party and click on the 2000 Member tab where you will find all of the details for the TT challenge, the party festivities and list of all of those fabulous prizes up or grabs!

See you at the Party!

Two ships in the night

Happy Thursday!
This week we have another fun Twisted Thursday challenge for you.
The twist this week is Transportation.
As I was going all of my stamps sets looking for stamps that would fit this challenge, I came across a cute little sailboat from the Oh Boy! stamp set by Gina K Designs.
I wanted to create a scene for the boats so I pulled out my brayer and some different shades or teal/turquoise ink to create the water and sky.  The island with the palm trees is a stamp from Aloha, also Gina K Design.
I paper pieced the boat with MME Miss Carolina – Dilly Dally papers and used the same papers on the card.  I love the colors in the Dilly Dally pack!
The sun was colored with copics – Y21 & Y23.  The sentiment is from Pleasant Plurals and was cut out using spellbinders Lacey Pennants.
I did not want to take away from the focal image so I just added a bit of twine and a few buttons for embellishments.
My fellow TT DT gals and I would love for you to play along with us!  We have some wonderful prizes that you can win that are specific to the TT challenge along with many other monthly site wide prizes!  You can find the TT challenge prizes here and the site wide prized on The Outlawz Main Page.

Thursday, June 14

I look up to you...

Happy Thursday!
Today I am sharing a card I made for this week’s Twisted Thursday challenge at The Outlawz.
My fellow DT gals and I have a fun challenge twist for you this week – Animals!

For my card I used a MFT Pure Innocence Image called Giraffe Girl .  She is colored with copics – E00, 23, 25, 27, 50, 70, 71, 74, 77/YR20, 21, 23/R81, 83, 85/YG91, 93, 97.  I added a strip of grass by her feet using my MFT Fresh Cut Grass Die .  I made sure to keep a bit of her pink shoes sticking out J
I found some of Basics Grey’s Sugared pattern paper in my stash that has little giraffes on it and could not resist using it with this image.
Since the focal image was bigger and covered a lot of the 5x5 card, I went with minimal embellishments using just twill ribbon, twine and a button.

You can find all of the details about the challenge here including what prizes are up for grabs!
I hope to see our challenge gallery filling up with your animal creations this week!
Enjoy your day!

Best Dad

Hi and Happy Thursday to all my cyber friends!
It’s time for another Twisted Thursday challenge at The Outlawz and we are kicking off June’s challenges with a Father’s Day twist.  Here in the U.S. we will be celebrating Father’s Day in a few days and thought it would be nice time to celebrate all fathers whether it be your own or someone you know.
Here is my sample -
The stamps I used are from For My Dad and Grads & Dads  from The Crafts Meow .
The watch and stack of books/glasses are separate stamps but I wanted make it look like the watch was leaning up against the books so I did a bit of masking. I also masked the stack of books because I wanted to have more books in the stack than what the stamp had.  Of course I had one of those “duh” moments when doing the masking…I stamped the book image first, masked it stamped the rest of the stack of books, masked those, then stamped the watch…the watch ended up behind the books so I tried again in reverse order and got it right that time J
Be sure to pop over to the challenge and check out the samples the rest of the DT has made to share.  As always, we would love for you to play along with us for a chance to win some fabulous prizes!
Enjoy your day!

Gatefold twist

Hello and Happy Thursday!
It’s time for another Twisted Thursday challenge at The Outlawz. This week the twist is Gatefold.
Here is my sample -
I love this tie image from The Craft’s Meow  Grads & Dads  stamp set. The sentiment is from Retro Foundations, also from The Craft’s Meow. The sentiment actually says Belated Birthday Wishes but I cut the stamp apart in a way that I could use the words separately or pieced together to use as originally intended.
My fellow TT DT gals and I would love for you to play along with us!  We have some wonderful prizes that you can win that are specific to the TT challenge along with many other monthly site wide prizes!  You can find the TT challenge prizes here and the site wide prized on The Outlawz Main Page.

The red cardstock behind the pattern paper was embossed with a Paper Studio Embossing Folder called Tiny Stars. The star behind the baseball shirt is embossed with Cuttlebug's Swiss Dots Embossing Folder.
I paper pieced the bat with a scrap of wood grain  paper.  The shirt and hat are colored with copics - R22, R24, R27/C00, C0.
