A beautiful song

Hi
I found time this weekend to make a couple of cards. This was made for the My Favorite Things Wednesday Stamp Club.
The sentiment is from the Classic Kids VIP Kit. The bird and birdcage was cut out using the Contempo Cage Die. I added a feather to the tail of the bird to give it a bit of flair ;-)
There is not much to explain about the card as it was very quick and easy card to make.

Stamp Supplies:
Stamps: MFT - Sentiment from Classic Kids VIP Kit
Ink: SU
Paper: SU, Gina K Designs, MME - Fine and Dandy True Blue
Other: MFT - Contempo Cage Die, Spellbinders - Long Rectangles, Twine, Pearl, Eyelets, Feather

Enjoy the rest of your day!

Cork and glitter

Hiya!!

Don't you hate it when the weekends are coming to an end? I sure do!
Yesterday I got together some girlfriends to do a little stamping, lots of chatting and ate yummy food. Thank you Sue!!! Sue spoils us by making such delicious food!
After my afternoon of stamping I was feeling inspired and thought I would whip up a card for this weeks My Favorite Things Week Stamp Club. You can read all about the challenge and see the sketch for this week right here.

I used one of the newly release PI images called Carnation. I paper pieced her dress using some of the same pattern paper I use on the card. The dp is from the Let it Bloom pack by Black Market. The rest of her was colored in with copics - E000, E00, E93 - skin/E27, E31, E35 - hair/V05, V06, V09 - socks and flower/ E31, E33, E35 - shoes/G07, G14, BG93, BG96 - stem and leaves. The carnation got a coat of stickles to make it sparkle and her shoes got a light coat of crystal lacquer.
The sentiment is from an A La Mode set called Birthday Girl.
The buttons are cut out using the Die-namic Button die on cork paper and I threaded sparkly twine through the centers.
So what do you think about the cork paper with this design? I always think of masculine when I see the cork paper and wanted to try it with a more feminine card.

Enjoy the rest of your evening and thank you so much for stopping by!!! I really appreciate the visits!!
Card Supplies:
Stamp: MFT
Ink: Memento, SU, Copics
Paper: SU, Copic X-press It, Black Market, Cork Paper, Misc Tan
Other: Twine, Button Die-namic Die, Spellbinders - Circle and Peony, Sizzix Embossing Folder - Notebook, Stickles, Crystal Lacquer, Sewing Machine

It's sketchy time

Hello!

I am going to keep my post quick this morning as I need to get to work...

The My Favorite Things weekly stamp club was the inspiration for my card today. The Wednesday Stamp Club will now be centered around a weekly sketch and you can read all about this weeks sketch here.
I did not do any coloring on my card...that doesn't happen very often does it? lol!

Stamps: MFT
Ink: SU
Paper: SU, K & Company
Other: Ribbon, Lace, Die-namic Hearts a Plenty Die, Spellbinders Tags
The hearts and sentiment are from a set called Boho Blossoms. The hearts and the matting for them were cut by hand. The border along the top was made using the Die-namics Hearts a Plenty die.

The papers are SU - Sage Shadow and Very Vanilla, K & Company - Hopscotch.

Have a wonderful Tuesday and stop back soon!

Sweet treats

Hi!

Did you all have a nice Monday? Mine has been uneventful, which is good! lol!

How about some cupcakes tonight?
I entered this card for the My Favorite Things Wednesday Stamp Club challenge. You can read about the challenge here. The adorable lil' girl is from the Pure Innocence line and this one is from the Tea Party stamp set. I thought it would fun to have this lil' cutie sitting under an awning eating her cupcakes. The awning is made using the Jumbo Scalloped Die-namic die.
Stamps: MFT - Tea Party
Ink: Copics, Memento
Paper: SU, Copic X-press It, DCWV
Other: Die-namics, Ribbon, Glitter, Spellbinders
Here is a different view of the card so you can see the awning and how I popped up the table and cupcakes.
I paper pieced her dress and tablecloth to match the pattern papers I used on the card. I colored the rest of the image with copics, B000,B01,B02/E000,E00/E25, E30, R27/E37, E51,E53,E55/E31,E33,E34. I added glitter to her shoes, the bow in her hair and on her dress. Girls gotta have some sparkle right?
Enjoy the rest of your evening and thanks so much for stopping by!

Snow Angel

Happy Thursday Stampers!!

Last night we got together with another family and my sisters family for pizza and a night out at the movies. We saw Megamind. I highly recommend it! All of the kids and even the adults really enjoyed it!

We made plans to do this again in a couple of week. Our movie choice is Tangled. I can't wait!

Today I have a card to share that I made for the My Favorite Things WSC challenge. I did not get it in on time because I did not see that the deadline for submission was at noon on Tuesday. ..I submitted my that evening. Geesh! I have got to make sure I read details better! lol!

Stamps: MFT - Snow Angel
Ink: Versamark, Copics
Paper: Gina K, SU, Core'dinations, Webster's Pages
Other: Glitter, Ribbon, Lace, Crystal Lacquer
Liquid Applique, Rectangle Nestibilities
I used the adorable Snow Angel Pure Innocence stamp from MFT and paper pieced him to match the dp I used on the card which is Webster's Pages. The rest of the little guy was colored with copics, B93, B95, B97, B99/R21/E30. E31, E33/G82, G85/Wo. I gave his boots and nose a thick coat of crystal lacquer.
For the snow I layed down a layer of white liquid applique, sprinkled glitter over it and heated it to make it puffy.

Have a wonderful rest of your day!

Tag - your it!!

Hiya!!

I am tonight this evening to share a tag I made for this weeks My Favorite Things Stamp Club challenge. You can read all about the challenge here.
Stamp: My Favorite Things
Ink: Memento, Copics
Paper: Gina K, Basic Grey, Copic X-press It
Other: Spellbinders, Nestibilities, Cuttlebug Embossing Folder, Ribbon, Twine, Eyelet

I used Spellbinders labels 17 for the tag base. I ran red labels 17 tags through my cuttlebug using the Swiss Dots embossing folder and did the same with the long rectangle behind my image. The image is the A La Modes Birthday Girl and I colored her with copics, R02, R22, R24, R20, E07, E35, E51, E53, Y15, Y17, Y28, C5, C6, and C7. I paper pieced the cupcake liner with Basic Greys Cupcake paper. The icing on the cupcake is white liquid applique before I puffed it up with my heat tool, I glitter sprinkled on liquid applique. I also added glitter to her crown and used my clear glaze pen to add some shine to her shoes and gloves.
I gave her a pearl necklace and earring using some very small white pearls that I got as a gift.
Here is another view of this glammed up gal.

Since this tag is fairly big, I decided I would use it not only for a tag on a gift but could also use it for the card as well so I finished off the back.

Thank you so much for stopping by tonight! Have a wonderful rest of your evening!

Love you bots!!

Hiya Stampers!

I wanted to share this card over the weekend but I came down with the flu late Saturday night. I am finally starting to feel a bit better this afternoon, enough so that I can finally post about my card ;o)

I made this card for my husband for Sweetest Day, which was last Saturday. I also entered it in last weeks My Favorite Things challenge, which I just found out today that I was drawn as the winner! Woot Woot!!

Stamps: MFT - Love Machine
Ink: Memento - Tuxedo Black, Copics
Paper: Gina K, Basic Grey, Copic X-press It
Other: Rectangle Nestibilities, Ribbon, Spellbinders Ribbon tag,
Brads, Die-namics Cloud Template, Circle Punch
The challenge was to create a project with a boy or masculine theme. I used the MFT Love Machine set. I colored the bot with copics N1, N2, N3, N4, N5. The pattern paper is Basic Greys Ambrosia and I paired it up with Gina K's Pumpkin Spice and Smokey Slate. The moon was punched with a circle punch and the clouds were cut from vellum using the die-namics cloud template. I finished off the card with star brads and ribbon.

Thank you so much for stopping by and I hope you have a wonderful rest of your evening! I am off to see what the MFT challenge is this week!
