Autumn blessings

Happy Monday Friends!

I have one last fall/autumn card to share with you. The image is a digi by Anne's Digital Art and I colored it with Prisma Pencils and OMS. The sentiment is from Gina K Designs Autumn Beauty stamp set. I used some pattern papers sitting on my table that were leftovers from making Halloween cards. I love it when I can use some of my pattern paper scraps. I often forget to check my scrap drawer first when I start to make a card so you can imagine how full my pattern paper scrap door is! ;)

Thank you so much for dropping by to visit!
Enjoy your Monday!

Card Supplies:

CSS Alumni hop

Welcome to Gina K's CSS Alumni Blog hop!
If you came by the way of Sue's fabulous blog, you are right on track. If you are just popping in to visit, I encourage you to start at the beginning of the hop here, to what this talented group of ladies has to share us tonight.

For this hop, we were to create a project using a sketch designed by our very own Melissa Cash.
Here is the sketch -

and this is what I came up with using the sketch.
I was a bit of a rebel and decided to flip the sketch and have my focal panel a bit slanted ;-)
The sunflowers are from the Autumn Beauty Stamp set.  I colored them with copics, YG01, YG23, YG25, YG71/E33, E39/Y32, Y35, YR12, YR21, YR24.  For the three strips I used an open oval border die to cut the borders in matching pattern papers and threaded ribbon through them.
The pattern paper is from My Minds Eye - Lost & Found Two - Sunshine pack.

Make sure to leave a comment on each blog as you hop along because on Tuesday morning (November 1), we will randomly choose one of the comments from all the blogs who will get a stamp set of their choice valued up to $24.95!

Your next hop stop is to the super talented Miesje.

Enjoy the rest of the hop!!

Card Supplies - Stamps: Autumn Beauty/Ink: Memento, SU, Copics/Paper: SU, MME, Copic Blending/Other: Rectangle Spellbinders, Ribbon, MFT Border and File Tab Dies.

We're shaking it...

Good evening!
Tonight the GKD CSS Alumni girls are shakin' it up with a treasure chest hop.

If you came from the talented Tera's blog, you are right on track. If you just stopped by to visit, I encourage you to go to Stamp TV start at the beginning so you do not miss out on the gorgeous samples.
As I mentioned this is a treasure chest hop and Carolina pulled out a falled themed shaker card for our inspiration. If you are not familiar with shaker cards here are a couple of videos that show you how to make them.
Shaker Cards Part 1
AND
Shaker Cards Part 2

Fall reminds me of pumpkins and the autumn beautiful colors so I went with fall colors and pumkins for my card.

I used The Giving Tree and Autumn Beauty stamp sets to create my shaker card. Inside the shaker is leaves punch from the same color cardstock as I used for the card and the little pumpkins were one-time brads. I did not have a little pumpkin punch so I cut off the prongs of the pumpkin brads and used them.
Make sure you are leaving a comment as you hop along because on Tuesday morning (September 27), we will randomly choose one of the comments from all the blogs who will get a stamp set of their choice valued up to $24.95!

Now I am going to send you on your way to Miesje's awesome blog. I know she will have something gorgeous to share!

Enjoy the rest of the hop and we hope to see you back at Stamp TV. We would also love if you would join us by making a fall themed shaker card!

GKD CSS Inspiration Hop

Happy Friday my friends!
Tonight the Gina K CSS Alumni girls have put together another fun hop for you!

If you came from Miesje's fabulous blog you are right on track. If you just happened by, I encourage you to start at the beginning of the hop right here in the Stamp TV forum.

For this hop we created a card or project based on any of the featured in birthday themed photos from The Party Dress site.

Aren't those great photos for inspiration? I has so many ideas running through my head that I had a hard time deciding what to make! I finally ended up going with a birthday themed card, using the some of the colors from the photos and the sunflowers. I also made my card base a scalloped circle to mimic the shape of the sunflowers.

The base of the card is made Spellbinders Grand Scalloped Circles. The sunflowers are from the Autumn Beauty stamp set and I colored them with copics - R35, R37, R39/Y13, Y15, Y17/E25, E27, E29/G20,G21, G24, G40.
The sentiment is from Holiday Greetings and was punched out with a 1 1/4 inch circle punch and matted on a couple different dies from Spellbinders Floral Doily Motifs. I added a button thread with bakers twine. Doesn't it make it look like a flower?

Now I am going to send you on your way to visit Sue. I know she will have something awesome to share with you!
Enjoy the rest of the hop!

Gina K Fall Memory Challenge

Good Morning Stampers!

Today I am sharing a couple of cards I made for Gina K's Fall Memory Challenge. You can read all about here in Gina's blog.

I have two fall memories that I will always cherish. The first one is my wedding. Marty and I were married in September. It was a beautifully warm fall day...just perfect for a wedding!

My card for this memory uses the colors from our wedding. Our colors were black and white. I carried a big bouquet of red roses as did my bridesmaids.

Card Supplies: Stamps: Friendship's Garden, Hand in Hand
Paper: Gina K Black Onyx, Misc Red, Copic X-press it
Ink: Memento, Copic, SU
Other: Nestibilites - Ovals, Square, Rectangles, Sizzix EF,
Spellbinder's Labels 10, Pearls, Ribbon

I used the rose from Friendship's Garden and colored it with copics R22, R24, R27, R29, YG07, YG17, YG67, C0 and C1. The sentiment is from Hand in Hand.
The embossing was done with the Vintage Wall Paper embossing folder.

My other fall memory is taking my girls to the pumpkin patch. Now that Ashley is older she doesn't always go with us but Marty and I still take Abbi every year.
There is a farm in the country a few miles from our house that we always go to where you can wander the fields to find the perfect pumpkin. There is also some animals there that the kids could see and even pet a few.

Card Supplies: Stamps: Autumn Beauty, Signs of Autumn
Paper: Old Olive, Chocolate Brown, October Afternoon - Farm Fresh
Copic X-press It
Ink: SU, Memento, Vivid, Versamarker, Copics
Other: Spellbinders Labels 8, Labels, Double Ended Labels,
Twine, Brads

I chose to use the scarecrow and cornstalks from Autumn Beauty because this farm always decorated using cornstalks with pumpkins and course a scarecrow. The pumpkins are from Signs of Autumn. I colored all the images with copics YR04, YR07, YR09, YR15, YR16, YR18, YR21, YR23,YR24, Y35, Y38, E25, E31,E33, E34, E35, E37, B91, B93, B95, B97, YG93. I sponged in the sky with SU Pumpkin Pie, Marigold Morning,  and Barely Banana. For the ground I used the direct to paper technique using Memento's Desert Sand, Pear Tart and Bamboo Leaves.

Thank you for stopping by and letting me share my fall memories with you!
