CSS Inspiration hop

Hiya!
Welcome to the February GKD CSS Alumni hop!
If you came from the Tera's wonderful blog you are right on track. If you just popped in, I encourage you to start at the beginning of the hop right here. I wouldn't want you to miss out on all the fabulous creations the girls are sharing tonight.
This month we were given this fabulous picture picked out by our very own Karen Knegten to use as our inspiration.
I made two card for you tonight. What jumped out at me most was the colors and the different shapes. The shapes of some of the buildings was the inspiration for this card -

I used  the Dogwood and Butterfly stamp set. The dogwood branch is colored with copics - E23,25,50,51,53/R20,22,24,27,29/YG03,63.
The roof is embossed with a checkerboard embossing folder. The card base is embossed with a wood grain impression plate.
The paper is Pure Luxury Chocolate Brown, Rocket Red and white.
Card Supplies:
Stamps: Gina K Designs - Dogwood and Butterfly
Paper: Gina K Designs Pure Luxury, Copic Blending
Ink: Memento, SU
Other: Sizzix Embossing Folder - Checkerboard, Wood Grain Impression Plate, Spellbinders - Squares & Postage Stamps, Pearls
For my next card I drawn to the blues and tans in the picture.
I used the Dogwood and Butterfly stamp set again for this card. And colored the flowers and butterfly with copics - B21,23,24/E25,30,35/Y21/YR21/YG03,63.
The papers are navy and tan leather Pure Luxury Papers.

Card Supplies:
Stamps: Gina K Designs - Dogwood and Butterfly
Paper: Gina K Designs - Pure Luxury, Copic Blending
Ink: SU, Memento
Other: MS Border Punch, Rhinestones, Ribbon, Doily, Spellbinders - Ovals

Make sure to leave a comment on each blog as you hop along because on Tuesday morning (February 14), we will randomly choose one of the comments from all the blogs and that person will receive a huge grab bag of fabulous Gina K. Designs Stamps! Wouldn't that be a great Valentine's Day present?!
Now I am going to send you on your way to the talented Miejse's blog
Enjoy hopping and we will see you back at Stamp TV.
