Tulips and plaids

Happy Friday Crafty People!!!

This morning I have a card to share with you using one of my favorite color combinations, Black, Red and white.
The Happy Birthday sentiment is from Gina K's You Know Your Old When and is cut out with a Spellbinder's label die and matted on one of the Fancy Dies. Behind that, I made layers of the colors using Spellbinders Lacey Circle and their Classic Circle dies.
The Tulips are from A Year of Flowers and were colored with copics, R22, R24, R27, R29, R59. Originally I wanted the tulips to be tucked in around the sentiment but after many attempts I could not get them arranged to my satisfaction so I ended up using them in the bottom corners of the card. The card probably would have looked just fine without the tulips but after spending the time to color and cut them out, I was determined to use them on my card! lol!

The pattern papers are Basic Grey's Junebug and DCWV La Creme. I paired those papers up with Gina K's Red Hot, Black Onyx, and White Pure Luxury papers.

My hubby and I finally got a good look at the siding we lost in the blizzard...of course it had to be on the top of the 3rd story of house, up near the roof which happens to be the highest part of the house! We definitely won't be fixing that until the weather is a bit nicer!
Apparently our power line to the house was damaged too! At about 10:30 last night we lost half the power to the house and the part that was lost was tied to all the major parts of the house including our furnace and well pump. Thankfully Alliant Energy was able to have it repaired by the time I had to get ready for work! What a long night! I think it's going to be a long day too since I did not get much sleep. I have a 4+ hour meeting this morning...cross your fingers that it is not boring because if it is, I will be sleeping! lol!

Thank you so much for stopping by and listening to my woes of last night!! Have a fabulous Friday my friends!!

Stunning card. Love the layering. And, with the plaid paper, it could be a masculine card as well as feminine.
