Birthday blues

Hi!

Can you believe it's the last day of September? It seems like this month has flown just like the summer did for me. October can not fly by, I have to many things I need to get done before the really cold weather sets in.

Today I have a birthday card to share and even combined it with this weeks color challenge on Stamp TV. The colors were pink, blue and white or Ivory.
There is one thing that is bugging me with this card and that is the sentiment. I should have used a darker pink because you can not see it in this picture. The sentiment is from Gina K's Rectangle Greetings and says "May all your wishes come true". The flower is also Gina K and is from Friendship's Garden. I colored the leaves with SU Certain Celery and Old Olive markers and the rest of the flower with copics. To add the shimmer I water colored it with a sakura glitter pen and a niji water brush. The nestie ring and the embossed paper also shimmer. I was in the glitter water coloring mood I guess.
The embossing folder I used is a dots one from sizzix. All the papers and ribbons are SU. There are pink pearls around the nestie ring. I used navy ribbon behind the dp. I rather like that look...what do you think?

One birthday card done...two to go but these two need to be masculine cards. That will be a challenge for me. lol!

Have a wonderful rest of your evening!
hugs,

I afore this style, here is whatI do when I am not happy with a sentiment,

I will stamp the sentiment in the color and shape I want then just adhere it over the one I don't like....I hope that works for ya.
