Round Top

Good Evening!

I hope everyone had a good day.
I was not able to post yesterday so before I hop into bed I wanted to write up a quick post for today.

I made this box for the SCS Monday Try a New Technique challenge. You can read all about it here. This week was to make a Round Top Box. Be sure to check out all the samples by clicking on the link Lynn provided in the forum. There are some amazing boxes out there!
I decided to make my box an Easter theme. I used Great Impression stamps I picked up at a local craft store. The images were stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored with copics.
I used SU cardstock, Pixie Pink and Sage. The dp is also SU as is the sage ribbon. The pink is twill tape I picked up a while ago at Micheals.
The oval nesties were used to mat the upper image and added glitter to the rain drops and to accent the little puddles of water. A Sakura glitter pen was used to accent parts of the umbrella.
The little chick is matted on an EK Success flower that was embossed with the Swiss Dots folder.
I wanted to take a picture with something in the box and the only thing I could come up with is strips of the pink and sage cs that I ran through the paper crimper. My attempt to make Easter grass...hee hee!

Have a relaxing evening and thanks for visiting with me tonight!
