I hope everyone had a good day.
I was not able to post yesterday so before I hop into bed I wanted to write up a quick post for today.
I made this box for the SCS Monday Try a New Technique challenge. You can read all about it here. This week was to make a Round Top Box. Be sure to check out all the samples by clicking on the link Lynn provided in the forum. There are some amazing boxes out there!
I decided to make my box an Easter theme. I used Great Impression stamps I picked up at a local craft store. The images were stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored with copics.I used SU cardstock, Pixie Pink and Sage. The dp is also SU as is the sage ribbon. The pink is twill tape I picked up a while ago at Micheals.
The oval nesties were used to mat the upper image and added glitter to the rain drops and to accent the little puddles of water. A Sakura glitter pen was used to accent parts of the umbrella.
The little chick is matted on an EK Success flower that was embossed with the Swiss Dots folder.
I wanted to take a picture with something in the box and the only thing I could come up with is strips of the pink and sage cs that I ran through the paper crimper. My attempt to make Easter grass...hee hee!
Have a relaxing evening and thanks for visiting with me tonight!
