The theme for our blog hop this month is Easter/Encouragement!!
If you came to my blog by the way of my pal Nina, you are right on track. If not, I invite you start at the beginning of the hop, here. My DT Sister’s are a very talented group of ladies and created the most inspiring projects to share.
If you get lost along the way, you can find a list of all the designer participating on The Craft's Meow Blog.
I have a card or two or three to share with you today :)
After I added the twine to the chevron pattern it reminded me of a pattern you might see along the side of drums… not sure I like that but decided to keep it and see what it looked like on the finished card. After finishing the card I was still not sure I liked it so I added a couple of twine bows.
The sentiment was cut out using one of the Spellbinder Creatopia shapes called Badge.
Now for my second card you may need to put on some sun glasses because it is a bright one! Lol!
My older daughter insisted I used these colors together. She is not a crafter like me but will sit at my craft table and talk to me while I work on projects. Every once and a while she thinks she needs to tell me how to make my cards...this was one of those times! I am not complaining – if that what it takes for her to spend time with me I’ll do it!
I used the tulips from Flower Garden and created a frame for them using spellbinders ovals and labels 17 dies. Before I glued down the tulips, I created sky/sun background for them using blue, yellow and purple ink and sponges.
I wanted to add dimension to the flower but did not want them popping completely out of the frame so I glued down the bottom part of the tulip and used a foam dimensional to pop up just the top of the tulip.
The sentiment is from Easter Blessings and was cut out using one of the older labels die and the mat is cut out with the double ended label die. I finished off the card with a couple of rhinestones on the sentiment.
For this card I used a sentiment and the smaller cross from the Rejoice stamp set. The sentiment is cut out using Spellbinders Labels 25 and matted on a scalloped oval. The doily is a Cheery Lynn die and the only embellishment is the pearl flourish.
Now I am going to send you on your way for more inspiration from my sweet friend Veronica!!

What fun and pretty cards. I love the different details on each one. Love how you used your twine on the first one. It is neat looking.
It's neat how you used the twine. I like to try different things, too, because I bought a whole bunch of colors, and like to use it whenever possible. Nice.
I don't see gold very often, but I love it. I painted my house in a sort of soft, buttery gold.
wow what talent to create so many different styles...graphic and manly on the 1st, feminine on the 2nd and elegant on the last. Wonderful job.
Absolutely loved the Rejoice card. Gorgeous!
