CSS Alumni Blog Hop

Happy Friday!
It's time for the monthly CSS Alumni Blog Hop!!
If you came by the way of the fabulous Miejse's blog, you are right on track. If you are just stopping by, Thank You for visiting and I invite you to head over to Stamp TV and check out the hop from the beginning. All of the CSS Alumni Gals hopping tonight have some fabulous eye candy to share!

This month we have an inspiration hop for you. Our projects are all inspired by this wonderful photo that Kay Simmons provided for us!

I was inspired by the the colors and the brown pumpkin in the lower left corner with the chevron texture. The Fall banner also caught my eye ;^)

I used the pumpkins from the Fanciful Fall stamp set and colored them with copics. The sentiment is from Punchy Words.
I really used brown paper but it turn out looking more black in the photos. I have to remember to not take pictures at night :^)
I made the larger pumpkin with spellbinders Ovals. I cut out six ovals and layered them to form the pumpkin. After the glue had dried a bit I embossed it with Sizzix Chevron Embossing Folder. I had a bit of trouble drawing a stem for the pumpkin so I decided to use the sentiment as the stem.
I used a strip of canvas to mimic the table runner and added a bit of twine on top for some color. I attached to canvas and twine with my tiny attacher.

As you hop along, be sure to leave a comment on each of the designer's blog because on Tuesday morning (November 13), we will randomly choose one of the comments from all the blogs and that person will receive a huge grab bag of fabulous Gina K. Designs Stamps!

Your next stop on the hop is to the blog of the very talented Sue Morris!
Happy Hopping!!

What a fabulous take on the inspiration photo! I didn't even notice that the brown pumpkin had the chevron pattern -- what an awesome detail to pick up on, and I love how you recreated it on your card.
