Hiya!
I was flipping through one of my Christmas edition craft magazines and saw a cute Christmas tree made out of wooden spools wrapped with fabric. I thought right away that this would make a cute Christmas card using a stamp image of a wooden spool.
I often jot down ideas that I want to give a try but once they are jotted down I never look at them again so I knew if I didn’t make this right away chances are never would. Sooo I dug out my Sew Happy stamp set from The Crafts Meow and got busy.
I stamped the spool image on Neenah cardstock, colored the tops and bottoms of the spool with copics and cut the spools out. Next I pulled out several different pieces of pattern paper, stamped the image on the pattern papers; heat embossed them and cut out just the middle portion of the spool. After gluing the pattern paper pieces to the centers of the partially colored spools, I arranged them on the card front in the shape of a Christmas tree. This is a fairly large card, 7x6, which I needed it to be to fit the spool tree.
I decorated the tree with pearls, rhinestones and added a star at the top.
Instead of the star wouldn’t it be cute to have an angel sitting on the top spool? I just might have to make another spool tree card with the angel on top ;)

Thank you for checking in with me today!
