Going Fishing

Hi!
I know my blog has been pretty quiet the past few weeks.  I think I left my creative mojo out west when we were on vacation. I have been struggling every time I sit at my craft table to make a card.
We also had one of our precious dogs pass away while we were on vacation and we are having a hard time adjusting to her not being with us.  I know anyone that has lost a pet understands how hard it is.
Anyway, I just wanted to let you know why I have been so quiet and that I will hopefully back to sharing projects on a regular bases soon :)

Today is Thursday which means it it time for the Twisted Thursday challenge at The Outlawz.  This week the twist is fishing.
I pulled out one of my Ala Mode stamps called Something's Fishy from My Favorite Things to create my card.
I paper pieced the gals outfit and fish. The 'water' is layered scalloped borders that were embossed with a Sizzix folder called Bubbles. The flower was cut out with the Hibiscus Flower Dienamics, also by MFT.
The pattern paper is Echo Parks Summer Days. The blues really have a green tone to them which seems to have been lost in my picture.

My fellow TT DT gals and I would love for you to play along with us!  We have some wonderful prizes that you can win that are specific to the TT challenge along with many other monthly site wide prizes!  You can find the TT challenge prizes here and the site wide prized on The Outlawz Main Page.

We have had record high temps here in Southern WI. Today is suppose to be 104 with a 112 heat index.
If it is HOT where you live, I hope you are able to keep cool today!
Enjoy your day!

I am so sorry to hear of your doggy's passing, that can be very hard. {{{hugz}}}

I, myself, have lost so many during my lifetime but I still cry every time I lose another. I'm so tenderhearted that if I had known you in real life I would have cried with you.

My thoughts are with you,hun
