If you came from the very talented Miesje Flach, you are are in the right spot. If you are just popping to visit, I encourage you to start at the beginning of the hop here . These girls are so inspiring with their gorgeous creations!
The theme of our hop tonight is "Paper Piecing". If you are not familiar with the paper piecing technique, check out this video. Gina does a wonderful job explaining paper piecing and showing you how it's done.
I am going to keep this short and sweet so you can keep moving along on the hop ;o)
I needed a baby card so I pulled out my Spring Basket and Basket Blessing stamp sets. The pattern papers I used to paper piece the basket and animals is from DCWV's Nana's Nursery pack. I also used the same pattern papers to create a quilted background by using 1 inch squares. I didn't want the basket of animals to blend into the quilted background so I added a solid color mat behind it. The sentiment and matting behind was cut out using the spellbinders tags.
Now I am going to send you on your way to Tera Fujan. Her work is just fabulous so I am sure you will love the creation she has made to share with you!
Enjoy the rest of the hop and we'll see you back at Stamp TV!

Thank you so much for the ideas. I've hesitated to buy the stamp set with the basket because I know that my coloring isn't up to the challenge. But I know I could paper piece the basket and now I know how cute it would look that way. THANK YOU!
