Buttons and Bows

Happy Thursday!
I am so ready for this week to be over! It's been one of those weeks where if anything goes wrong it will!
Tomorrow is Abbi's last day of school and they are having a fun day with a picnic lunch which is alway fun. The weather however, may put a damper on the day as we are expecting it to be hot and humid with temps into the 90's. I think water games might in store for tomorrow! ;o)

Are you ready for this weeks The Outlawz POM challenge? The POM DT girlz are all about Buttons & Bows this week.
We are challenging you to create a project using buttons and bows. Remember you can do what ever you want with your card or project as long as you do not use Alcohol ink markers.
I hope you will play along with us!
Here is my sample -

A couple of weeks ago I picked up the Spellbinders Grand Circle, Scalloped Circle and Scalloped Square dies. I was able to use the two smallest of each set in my cuttlebug but wanted to play around with the larger dies so I grabbed a 40% off coupon for Hobby Lobby and bought myself the Grand Caliber. I love it and have a few larger sized shaped cards that I will share with you soon. This Father's Day card was made using the Grand Circles.
I used a couple of older SU stamps from the Wanted and Bronco Buster sets. All the papers are SU. I had a really hard time getting a photo of this card that captured the true colors of what looks like the green paper. It's really River Rock.
The Dad was punched out using Sizzix Naturally Serif Alphabet Die amd the banners are punched out using PTI Banner dies.

The Outlawz Summer Party is getting closer! Check out the main page here for a complete list of the fabulous prizes up for grabs!

Thanks so much for stopping by and I hope to see your buttons and bow creation in the POM Challenge Group!

Sharri, I came from Outlawz and I'm now following your blog, which is beautiful by the way. I love this DAD card. Very different. The button and bows are terrific. I never did purchase those stamp sets from SU and after seeing how you used them I'm sorry I didn't. Thank you for sharing.
