Graduation Wallet

Happy Sunday!

With the school year winding down we are starting to receive graduation invites. A couple are for my niece and BIL...yes believe it or not I have a BIL that is graduating High School. My DH's Father had two more children that are much younger than my DH.

Anywho...I am making them both a wallet type gift card or money holder. This one will be for my niece.
The sentiment is from a newly released Gina K stamp set called Stars. When I saw the sentiment, I thought it was perfect for a graduation. It is stamped with Tuxedo Black Ink on Ivory PL and cut out with Long Mega Nestie ovals. I extended a Fancy Label to go on each end and threaded black satin ribbon through them. The ribbon is long enough to go around the wallet and tie to keep it closed. The papers are Black Onyx and DVWV La Creme matstack.

Here is the inside. I added two pocked in the inside and tucked a couple of bookmarks in them. The bookmarks are made using spellbinders scalloped tags and the sentiments on the bookmarks are from the Stars and Kindred Greetings for Kids stamp sets.
The pattern papers on the inside are also from the La Creme matstack.
Here is another view of the inside so you can see the slot for the money or gift card.
Let me tell you how I made it.
I started out with two pieces of card stock. One piece is 7.5 x 5.5 and is scored at 2.5 and 6 3/4.
The second piece of paper is 5.5 x 5 1/8 and is scored at 1 inch.
I used 1/8" score tape and taped the sides that were scored 1" in together but just along the bottom and the side so there was a slot created on the top to tuck the money or gift card holder in. From there I just decorated as I wanted. Once I had the dimensions down it went together very easy.

Thank you for checking in with me today! I hope you all are having a wonderful weekend and will stop back soon!

Love this Sharri! I may need to case it for a granddaughter who is having promotion from eighth grade into high school.
