We're movin

Hello!

Today I have a card to share that I made for Gina K's April release party last Thursday night. I shared quite a few that night and will be sharing them over the next several days here on my blog.

Today's card uses a set called Welcome Home.

When I saw the wagon with the boxes and plant in this set it brought back a childhood memory of my brother Tony packing ups a few of his and my other brother Matt's things, loading them, including Matt, in a wagon and telling my Mom he was running away from home and taking Matt with him.

Don't most kids say that at some point in their childhood? I haven't heard of too many that actually leave but Tony headed out the door and down the street with Matt and the wagon. He only got to the corner before he changed his mind and turned around.

Anyhoo, on to the card...
I colored the wagon, boxed and plant with copics. The fish bowl is part of another image in the set but I thought it would cute sitting on the boxes so I stamped the full image, colored the fish bowl and cut just that part of the image out. I added a thick layer of crystal lacquer over the bowl to make it look more realistic.

The sky was brayer using Tempting Turquoise, Ballet Blue and Brilliant Blue.

I added the side walk by sponging on Basic Gray ink then sponged in the grass with Vidid's Vintage Green. The trees are from Gina K's Tree Silhouettes stamp set.
The pattern papers are SU's and were part of the Sell-a-bration this year.

The card base is Smokey Slate pl and the blue is from my scraps. Here is the inside of the card. The row of houses is another image from the set as is the sentiment.

I appreciate you stopping by today and hope you stop back soon!
