Distressed cards

Hi!

A couple weeks ago I was cleaning and re-organizing my crafting corner and came across a couple of things I forgot I had. Some beautiful lace and paper flower stickers.
I decided to use them before I tucked them back in a drawer and forgot about them again!
I went with a kind of shabby, distressed look for these two cards, which is something I haven't done in a long time.
The design is pretty much the same for both cards. The pattern papers are from K& Co as are the paper flower stickers. The above card uses Ruby Red cs and a green from my scraps. The sentiment is from the Friends stamp set.

This card uses Ruby Red and Chocolate Chip cs. The sentiment is from the Happy Spring stamp set.
For both cards, I distressed all the edges of the papers and inked the edges with Old Paper Distressed ink. To give them a bit of a shabby chic feel I added stitching to the cards.

I should clean and re-organize my area more often. You never know what kind of goodies you will re-discover in the process.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you come back soon!

Great idea, Sharri, to go ahead and use those embellies rather than stash them away again!! And the resulting cards are lovely!!
