Tri-shutter card

Hi!

Oh my goodness! It has been such a cold, dreary, rainy day today which makes me feel really sleepy! It is days like these that I would have loved to stay at home curled up in front of a fire and read a good book. How is the weather by you? What is your favorite way to spend a cold, dreary, rainy day or evening if you are like me and had to work today?

I have a question for those of you that have Theresa Momber's new stamp set, A Very Merry Christmas, do you love it as much as I do? I can not seem to put this set down! I have several other of the Gina K stamp sets that were released with this one that I have not even inked up yet! Yikes! I suppose I should remedy that huh? That will be my goal for this weekend.

On to the card...
I have seen these Tri-Shutter cards and have wanted to make one for quite some time. I finally did.
After I got it cut and covered with dp, I wasn't sure what to do next for images, sentiments and embellishments. As you probably guessed, I used A Very Merry Christmas stamp set for the images and sentiment.
The bells were heat embossed with gold ep on white pure luxury paper, colored with copic and cut out. I used the Nestibilites labels 6 with Chocolate Kiss and Good as Gold to put the bells on on and added gold pearls around the label
The holly flourish was also heat embossed with gold ep on real red cs, cut out with the labels 6 die, matted on good as gold cs and again added gold pearls.
The sentiment was stamped with blue bayou ink on white pure luxury, cut out with the labels 6 die, matted on gold, and again added those gold pearls. Since the sentiment was much smaller, I added another layer of blue bayou and good as gold cs behind it.
To embellish a bit more I added leaf branches and paper flowers that colored with copics and a gold ribbon.
Here is what it looks like when opened up.
Have a warm and cozy evening and thank you for stopping in!
hugs,
