Under the sea birthday

Hello!
I hope you all had a wonderful weekend! Boy was it humid here in Stoughton! My husband played softball yesterday and I was quite surprised it was not cancelled since we had a lot of rain Friday night and most of Saturday morning. There was mini lakes in right and center fields! It made for a interesting game. We had storms on and off all day which of course affects my internet connection...one of the perks of country living and having to have satellite internet, woo hoo! Yes that was sarcasm dripping off the woo hoo. Hee hee. Since it is starting to clear up I wanted to get this card posted.
This is the card I made for my twin nephew's birthdays. They will turn 9 on Friday. I used 3 different sets for this card, well 4 really but I forgot to take a picture of the inside which is where I used the 4th set.
The sets are Sushi Bowl Party, SU's Crazy for Cupcakes, and Gina K's Best Fishes. All the images were colored with copics.
For the background I started out with a piece of layering weight white pure luxury cs and brayered the bottom with river rock, true thyme and soft suede. The top was brayered with soft sky, baja breeze and bording blue. The base of the card is soft suede and baja breeze. The corners punched with the scallop border punch then embossed with one of my new quickutz embossing folders called bubbles.
The picture of the card has some goofy shadows going on so it's hard to see that there is glitter on the birthday hats, seahorse, the candle flame and the sprinkles on the cupcake.

I hope you have a quiet and relaxing rest of your evening!
hugs,
Sharri

I love it! The sea horse and fish both look like they are making a wish and blowing out the candle.
