My purple Easter bunny.

Hi!

It's my baby's birthday on Friday. I can not believe she is going to be seven! She so excited that her birthday is on Good Friday. She is off of school so we planned her friends party for that afternoon. Abbi just loves animals of all kinds. She recently added a salamander to long list of pets she has had. She definitely is part tomboy because she brings home things I thought only boys would and wants to keep them...in my house! I had to draw the line with the snakes as I am not a big fan of them!

Because of her love for animals, I wanted to make a card that included an animal but had an Easter feel to it also. When I found this Magnolia stamp of Tilda hugging a bunny, it really reminded me of Abbi and I knew it would be perfect for her birthday and Easter card.

Tilda was stamped in Memento's Tuxedo Black ink on layering weight pure luxury paper and colored with copics. I used Doodlebug's white glitter on her wing and the bunny's tail. The jeans were accented with Doodlebug's purple glitter. She was cut out and double matted with the Oval Nestibilies diecuts. The sentiment is from Gina K's Punchy Words and was punched out with my 1 1/4 inch circle punch and the mat was cut from a scalloped circle nestibility diecut. I added a line around the scallops of the circle and around the sentiment with a Lavendar Atyou Spica Pen. I also highlighted Tilda with my Inkssentials Opaque Pen.

Today's card will also be submitted for a couple of challenges. Copic Creations is one of the challenges. Their challenge is to use copics to color faces/skin tones. The second challenge is Basic Grey challenges. Their challenge was to create a spring/Easter theme project that includes 1 basic grey item. My Basic Grey item is their Euphoria and Lily Kate paper.

Thank you for stopping in today!

Such a gorgeous card Sharri, I'm sure your Daughter will love it, I agree that the cute Tilda is perfect for a birthday at Easter. I hope she has fun at her party and that you have no new animal arrivals in the house LOL! Glad you could join in this week. Chris x

Great job with the card, it's very pretty.
BTW, snakes make good pets - quiet, clean, no exercising them and they don't eat every day!! LOL
