All glittered up

Good Morning and Happy Wednesday!

Have you been checking out the previews for Gina K's April release? Oh my, there are some awesome sets being released and a new illustrator, Theresa Momber. You definitely want to check out her very first set.

Today's card is one I made for the Friday Pot Luck challenge on StampTV. The challenge was to make a project with the main image all glittered up.
I started out making this as a monochromatic card and as you can see it did not end up as one. That seems to happen to me quite a bit lately. hee hee.

The roses are from the stamp set A year of Flowers. I stamped them with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored with copics. Next I covered them with versamark ink and heat embossed using iridescent ice. This made the flowers very sparkly. The picture does not look as sparkly as the flowers do irl. The butterfly is from Gina's Take Flight set and was stamped with versamark on vellum and heat embossed using black sparkle ep.
The cs is basic grey, black and layering weight pure luxury. The designer paper is the digi paper received in the StampTV's first on-line class. The paper is call Springtime. I used the purple burlap paper but changed the color from purple to grey.
I was really happy with the card until I added the green glitter dots for the flower stems. I am not sure I like it and if I had not already glue them down, I probably would have used something else for the stems. At least they are glittery and the challenge was glitter.
I finished off the card with black pearls and ribbon.

Thank you for visiting with me today!
hugs,
Sharri
