Pun Fun Birthday

Good evening!

I hope everybody had a great Monday! Thankfully it was warmer out today! I sure hope we are down with that below zero weather!

My daughter was invited to a birthday party for one of her classmates this past Saturday. I realized Saturday morning, two hours before she had to be at the party, I did not have a birthday card to go with the present.

This is the card I whipped up. I was rather happy with myself. It is very rare that I can make a card as quickly as I did this one.LOL!

I pulled out SU's Pun Fun stamp set. I love this little rocket! To me it is perfect for a boys card. I carefully inked the stamp so the sentiment at the bottom was not included in the image.
The rocket is colored with copic markers and cut out using rectangle nesties then matted on the saffron cs. The sentiment is also stamped on the saffron and cut with the double ended spellbinder labels. I did not feel ribbon was appropriate to use to attach the sentiment so I used brads. I also added a couple of brad to the top corners of the image.
The card base is two pieces of paper, cut from the larges rectangle nesties. The rectangle for the back of the card was scored 3/4 inch from the top. I used score tape to attach the rectangles together. I can not tell you what kind of cs this is, it is from my scrap pile.

Thank you for stopping by!
