Love Bug

Good Afternoon!

I hope everyone is having a nice weekend so far. It looks beautiful outside with the sun shining which of course just makes me want spring to come that much faster!

Spending the day yesterday with my friend Kay was really nice. We spent a lot of time talking so we did not make very many cards! lol!
Today I am sharing one of the cards I made with Kay.
The stamp set Kay chose for us to use was Asela Hopkins Framed Friends. Isn't the ladybug stamp great to use for a Valentine card?

The cs I used is Riding Hood Red, Wild Wasabi and Gina's 80 lb pure luxury. The dp is DCWV Roam Mat Pad.

The lady bugs are stamped with Memento's Tuxedo Black ink, colored with copic markers. and matted on wasabi cs cut out using the Label's one nesties.

The corners on the card were punched with my new Tonic corner punch. This is a great punch! One side punches a tag corner and the other punches a ticket corner. This will go through a couple pieces of card stock, unlike the SU punches. Cool huh?
For the strip of wasabi, I used the largest of the curved large long rectangle along one edge then embossed it with the divine swirls folder.
The dp was cut using SU's top note. The sentiment was cut using the double ended label nestie and tied around the top note using white organdy ribbon. Instead of tying a bow with the ribbon I tied a knot and put the smaller ladybug image on top of the knot. I added a couple of flourishes which are cut from a sizzix die.
I finished the card by water coloring with the sakura glitter pen and covering that with crystal lacquer.

Have an awesome rest of your weekend!
Thank you for visiting!
