Mono Tees

Hello!

The card I am sharing today was made for a challenge that Donna Baker issued during the Gina K release party last Thursday night.
I posted it on Splitcoast yesterday so some of you may have already seen it.

The challenge was to make a monochromatic card. I chose green as my color with white as the neutral.
The card base is Garden Green. I used the Hounds tooth embossing folder on a piece of Wasabi cs and glued it to the card base. The DP is from DCWV and the border punch the diamond from Friskars.
I used Melanie's Little Tees set. One shirt is Wasabi with Garden Green letters and the other is Celery with the Garden Green letters.
After I cut the tees out I had a hard time figuring out how to put them on the card with out covering up the button/brads. It was by accident that the arms linked and when I saw that I knew that was how I wanted the tees on the card. See sometimes accidents are a good thing...hehehe!

I really am not fond of how the sentiment turned out. I stamped the You're Amazing sentiment from Rupa's Whatever Floats Your Boat set in Garden Green and then punched out with the EK Success Scalloped Corner punch. I also punch a corner using the dp and glued it under the sentiment so you could see just the edge of the dp. I trimmed the corner down just above the sentiment and glued it on top of the diamond punched border.
Hopefully the tees will be the focal point.

I am hoping the weathermen are wrong and we do not have that snowstorm they are talking about! It's going to be a long winter if we have a storm every week!

Have an awesome day and thank you for stopping by!
Sharri
