Cookies for Santa

Happy Friday!

This is a result of a couple of things I have on my mind this week. Cookies and Christmas.
I wanted to make a card using a new set I recently got from Gina K, Have a cookie.
After stamping, coloring and cutting out the cookies and milk, I took a break and browsed the planet. There was a photo that caught my eye. The card was made by Libby Hickson and you can find it here. The card was a snow globe. It was about the cutest thing I have seen and of course I wanted to give it a try.
My globe has a Christmas theme - cookies for Santa!

The cookies and milk are colored with copics. The dp is Ski Slope from the SU mini catalog.
I used my circle nesties to cut the acetate for the globe. There are two circles. The base of the globe is from a template I sketched then traced it on kraft paper. I cut out two bases and covered them with the dp to make the base thicker so it could easily stand. The acetate circles are attached to the bases. The cookies and milk are attached to the inside of the back globe. I made a small paper shelf to sit under the cookies and glued glitter on the shelf.
I attached the two globes together with a brad and then covered it with the kiwi ribbon.
I decorated the base with silver cord, silver ribbon and pearl embellies.

I am going to play around and make a few more of these...maybe come up with my Christmas cards...

Have a awesome weekend and thanks you for stopping by!

Hugs,
Sharri
