Birthday cupcakes

Good morning!

Is anyone else happy that election day has pasted? I definitely will not miss the TV adds or the phone calls!
I was really surprised how much my 6 year old got into the election. She had her mind set on the candidate the she wanted to win. She sat by my side watching the TV as the polls started closing and the results were coming in. I had a hard time getting her to stop watching and go to bed! LOL! I might have a politician on my hands...hehehe!

Crazy for cupcakes is a fun set to play around with and is perfect for birthday cards.
This card is for my niece's birthday. It is not the layout I had planned on but when you smudge ink on white paper you need to improvise to cover it up.
The cupcakes are colored with copics and I used pink liquid applique as the frosting on the cupcakes. Can you see the shimmer around the cupcakes? I water colored with the glitter pen which helped to cover up a few lighter smudges.

The cs is SU's, sage shadow, regal rose and vintage violet. I ran the birthday embossing folder through the cuddlebug then used the brayer with sage shadow ink over raised parts of the paper. I really like that look. I added the primas kind of as a second thought. The card looked rather bare on the bottom and I didn't want to add anything big so I dusted off the prima box.

Thank you for stopping by!
Have a great day!

Sharri

ohhh this is so pretty...love all the sparkle!

my 5 year old and 12 year olds were really into it as well---they got a lot of election hype at school with mock elections and stuff so they were really excited to see who won.
