This month Brenda provided us with this fabulous photo to use as our inspiration when creating our projects.

I noticed that beautiful quilt right away and then the flowers on the pillow and used those two things as inspiration for my card.

The vase of flowers is from Purr-fectly Delightful and is colored with copics – R02, 05, 08/E23, 25, 27, 29, 40, 41/BG10, 11/YG21, 23, 25/C00, 0, 1/W00, 0.
I added a bit of stickles to the flower petals and centers. The sentiment is from Fanciful Tags.

I tried to create a quilt look for my background by embossing the pattern paper, adding stitching along the edges and inking around the edges with distressed ink.  I finished it off with lace and pearl flourishes.

It's snowing!

Hiya!

Did you all have a Happy Thanksgiving and a fabulous weekend? I sure hope so!
My family celebrated a couple of birthdays just before Thanksgiving and over the holiday weekend so I was able to spend lots of time with family. I also ate way to much the past 5 days! My treadmill is going to be getting some extra love the next two weeks, lol!

I was able to squeeze in a bit of crafting in between eating and visiting.
This card was inspired by last weeks sketch challenge over on Stamp TV. I thought I would share it here on my blog today since we are suppose to get snow today! I am so not ready for snow! I would love to skip winter altogether and go right into spring! lol! I can dream right?

The tree is from Gina K's Fanciful Fall stamp set. I created a wintry scene by brayering the sky first with SU soft sky, then with baja breeze but not quite covering the soft sky and finally with Marina Mist. For the ground I ripped the edge of a post-it note and used that to sponge in the snow drifts. To give the look of snow falling, I dabbed my stipple brush on the versamark ink pad then dabbed the inked brush over the paper. Next I covered the paper with iridescent ice embossing powder, tapped of the excess and heated the embossing powder with my heat tool. It's hard to see all the sparkle in the picture but it does look a lot like falling snow. To emphasize the snow drift more, I added a bit of white glitter to them.

The sentiment is from Gina K's Fanciful Tags stamp set and the snowflakes on the Marina Mist paper is embossed with Cuttlebugs snowflakes embossing folder.

Vintage Christmas

Happy Wednesday my friends!

Today I have a card I made for Gina K's new Video Sketch Challenge at StampTV and it's another Christmas card with a vintage feel to it.

I used Gina's Blessed is the Season and Fanciful Tags stamp sets. The pattern paper is Webster's Pages Waiting for Santa & Sweet Season. Love the vintage look of these pages! I broke down and used a bit of my lace. I threaded ribbon along the top of it and then finished off the card with a little ribbon bow on the snowflake.
