Scrappy Notecard

Hi!

I found another way to use up my scrap papers! I am going to make up a pack of note cards to bundle as a gift....or several packs given the amount of scrap paper I have! lol!
I started out with a 7x3 inch piece of cardstock. I scored it at 3.5, folded it in half, added the pattern paper, added the image panel and I have a cute little note card that took a matter of minutes to make. Wouldn't these be easy to whip out several at a time especially if you kept with an image that did not need coloring or with a sentiment for the focal point?

I am still thinking about what kind of a box I would to make to package the note cards in. If you have any suggestions, I would love to hear them!

Flowers of different hues

Hello!
I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend! We had hope to spend most of the weekend outside working in the yard but the weather did not cooperate. It was rainy both Saturday and Sunday and yesterday it was hot and humid! We went from 50-60 degree weather to 90!
Since the weather didn't cooperate, I was able to spend lots of time at my crafting table :o)
This is a quick card I made using all scrap papers. The flowers are from Gina K Designs Lean on Me stamp set. I stamped them on her white PL paper with memento and SU inks and cut them out. It pattern paper is scraps of DCWV. Doesn't it match the flower perfectly?
The sentiment is also a Gina K's set called Say it with Flowers.

Lean on Me Blog Hop

I am thrilled to be joining in on a Gina K Designs blog hop for the Lean on Me stamp set. For a limited time this stamp set comes with a card kit designed by Jessica Fick. 

I have a couple of card to share with you tonight.

My first card uses some of the Pure Luxury papers included in the kit, Wild Dandelion, Red Hot and Grass Green. I paired the papers up with some October Afternoon's Farm Fresh papers. The flower was stamped with Vivid's Red ink and I added a bit of depth by sponging some Memento's Angel Pink in the center of the flower. Behind the flower image is a panel of Red Hot paper that I embossed with Tim Holtz's Checkerboard embossing folder.

For my next card I used a completely different color palette.

The papers are Sage Shadow and Gina K's Ivory and Pumpkin Spice Pure Luxury Papers. The pattern paper is K & Companies Hopscotch.

Can you see the sparkle on the flowers? I inked the image with versamark and again with pumpkin pie before heat embossing with iridescent ice embossing powder.
