Masculine Madness!

Hello and Welcome to The Craft's Meow June Blog Hop!
The Craft's meow
This month our theme for the challenge is "Masculine". Sound like fun?!
If you came from my pal Nina's blog, you are right on track. If you are just stopping by, thank you for visiting and I hope you will consider starting at the beginning of the hop, here
The TCM DT is very creative and is sharing such marvelous creations today.

As you hope along, make sure you leave a comment on all the blogs in the hop, including the TCM Blog, to be eligible for the prize.
One lucky commenter will get a stamp set of their choice!!
They will be chosen from the comments left on all the blogs.

Deadline to leave comments is 11:59 EST, Sunday June 9th
Winner will be announced Monday, June 10th.

I made a couple of card to share with you today. The first one uses the Vintage Clocks Stamp set.
I went with a blue and browns color theme for this card. I love how there are so many sentiments for the various clock images in this set! Isn't this sentiment perfect for the Grandfather clock image?!
Before stamping the border, I scored two lines  3/4" apart to use as a guide to stamp a straight border.
I kept the embellishments to a minimum by just using twine.

For my next card I thought I would make a Father's Day card since Father's Day is just around the corner.

I used 3 stamp sets on my card. The face is from Let's Face It, the frame is from Sweet Silhouettes and the sentiment is from Sweet Sentiments
I stamped the frame and cut it out with Spellbinder's Labels 10 and matted the frame by tracing the outside of the die I used to cut out them fussy cut the mat. Beneath that is a diecut using Labels 9.
I built the face by first stamping the hair and mustache on a small oval diecut. I stamped the hat, cut it out and adhered it to the top of the oval. The bow was also stamped then cut out and adhered to the bottom of the oval.
I added texture to the card by embossing the back panel, the black strip beneath the sentiment/face and the black labels 9 diecut behind the frame.
I finished off the card with twine and a bow.

If you want to check out all of the TCM masculine stamp sets can be found here in The Craft's Meow Store!
I am the last stop on the hop. Thank you so much for hopping with us and I hope you found some inspiration with our masculine cards.
