This month The Craft's Meow is turning 2 and we have a week full of inspiring previews, fun and Lisa is giving away 2 sets of the stamps we are previewing each day! Yay!!
For the next four days the TCM DT will be celebrating by sharing previews of the new stamps that will be released during The Craft's Meow New Release Blog Hop on Thursday March 21st!
We are very excited to have Stacey Shaefer joining the TCM team as our Guest Designer for our birthday celebrations! Be sure to stop by Stacey's blog to help us welcome her!
Today preview is set illustrated by Karen Baker called Birthday Pun.
I had so much fun with this stamp set! It has several silhouette images along with many fun sentiments/sayings!
My first card uses the cow from the set. The cows are heat embossed with enamel ware embossing powder. The actual embossing powder is white but when heated turns clear with little white spots - a lot like enamel ware looks in real life. I found it years ago at a local craft store and have not see any around since.
I created a little scene to go with the sentiment using grass, fence and cloud die cuts.
My next card is also a scene card. The background was created using a brayer, sponges and post-it notes. I used the paint splatters from Typically Teen to add texture to the ground.
I went with a masculine theme with the colors, the strip of canvas and the jute twine. The card base was embossed with a wood grain embossing folder.
