Happy times

Hi!
I don't know how many times I have colored an image before I pick out the papers I want to use with it and then can not find any papers I like to go with it...do you do that?
Well this is one of those images! This is a Bildmalarna stamp from the Winged Collection called On a Walk.
A couple of weekends ago I sat at my craft table and was determined to make a card using the image. So I pulled GKD's Tan Leather and SU Perfect Plum to get started. The background paper is the SU embossed with a flower embossing folder and after embossed, I coated the paper with clear Distressed Crackle Paint. I let it dry and loved how it turned out!

Here is a close up view but the picture does not do it justice. It looks really cool IRL. I am going to use this technique again next time when I color without first picking out my papers ;)

Enjoy the rest of your day!

Sharri, I almost ALWAYS color my images before I pick out my papers. It just seems too practical to do it the other way and I wouldn't want to be accused of being too practical. ;)

Your card is fabulous. I love how softly you colored the image. I could take lessons from you. Do you give lessons? (grin)

Your background is gorgeous. No wonder you are so pleased with how it turned out. Where do you come up with these ideas?

Blessings on your weekend,
Teresa

this is gorgeous! The purple and yellow is STUNNING!! The image darling and I love how you did your background paper! I used to color then pick out paper, but I try hard to pick the paper first!! Unless of course it is a color challenge, then you can't always do that!!
