Funny Farm Blog Hop

Hello my friends!!

Tonight I am hopping with the talented Gina K designers to show you a fun stamp set called Funny Farm. This set has the cutes images, especially the animals! I love their expressions!

For a limited time, the coordinating card kit designed by Jessica Fick is included for free with the purchase of the Funny Farm stamp set. To view the full card kit, visit Jessica's blog post here for all the details.

Lets take a look at the cards I made to share tonight.
Stamps: Funny Farm
Ink: Copics, Tuxedo Black, Ladybug
Papers: Gina K Pure Luxury
Other: Spellbinders Double Ended Labels, Labels,
Sizzix Embossing Folders, ribbon, Silver Nailheads
The farm scene n the background was colored with copics, E39, E31, E33, E34, E35, E37, YR17, YR25,YR21, YR23, YR24, YG91, YG93, YG95, YG95, YG97, R24, R27, C0 , C1, C2, C3, C4, C5, C6, and C7. The animals are colored with Kohinoor pencils and oms. The papers I used are Gina's Pure Luxury Red Hot, Sweet Corn, Grass Green and White. I used the Checkerboard embossing folder on the Green Apple and the Square Lattice on the Sweet Corn.

I almost did not include my next card in my post because I did not like how the lamb looked in my picture. But I did decide to include it and share why the lamb looks as he does. *smile*
Stamps: Funny Farm
Ink: Memento, Copic
Paper: Gina K Pure Luxury
Other: Die-namic Dies, Spellbinders Labels 16 & 17,
Flock, Glue Pen

All the papers are Gina's Pure Luxury. The tree and grass were cut out with Tan Leather and Green Apple. The card base is Little Boy Blue and the lamb was stamped on white. I sponged a bit of Bamboo leaves behind the grass and some summer sky above that for the sky.

Before talk about the lamb I have a question for you...Do your kids or Grandkids sit and stamp with you or hang out with you while you stamp? Well Abbi was sitting with me making cards and chatting up a storm. Given that, let me explain the lamb. I colored his feet, ears, and tail with C4 and C5. His nose with R000, R00, and R11. I used C0 and C1 to add a bit of shadow for his wool and while doing that I decided to cover it with flock after I blended out the shadow. Well Abbi was quite chatty at this point and instead of grabbing my colorless blender, I grabbed my quickie glue pen. Now as you know glue pens do not blend copics so my poor little lamb has a harsh line to him even after I covered him in flock. I plan to fix the lamb by stamping another image and popping it up over the one on the card. Remember, there are no mistakes in stamping! *wink*

I'm so glad you included the second one... I love it!!! (I love them both, but the second one inspired me to think "outside the box" for my card elements.
