Movie Time

Hello,

Did you hear that Gina K is looking for her next Center Stage Spotlight designer? You can read all about it here. All you have to do to be considered is choose your favorite movie and make a project featuring one of the new stamp sets from her April release. Add the direct link to your project in the Mister Linky on her blog. Gina will look at each one of the projects and choose a designer who will be invited to join the design team for the May release!
The deadline for having your project up by this Wednesday, May 12th by 8:00PM and the winner will be announced on Friday, May 14th.

I hope all of you amazingly talented crafters will try out for the Center Stage Spotlight designer spot!

I wanted to share a card based on my favorite movie.
The Little Mermaid is one of my favorite movies because it was my oldest daughter's favorite when she was younger and the one she always wanted to watch when I asked her to watch a movie with me. I will always cherish those times when we would snuggle up together on the couch to watch this movie.
Our favorite character in the movie was Sebastian the crab so of course I had to use the crab from Quite a Catch. One of the scenes was Sebastian sitting on a rock and his jaw dropping open when he saw Ariel with the "human" Eric on the beach. My card is based on that scene.
I wanted to alter the crab so his jaw was hanging open but I couldn't quite get it to look like I wanted it so had to settle of a happy looking crab. hee hee!
I brayered the sky and water, sponged in the sun and rock, added seagulls using the stamp from Gifts from the Sea and the grass is from the Hang in There stamp set.
The sentiment is also from Quite a Catch and the shells are also from Gifts from the Sea.

Good luck to all of you that do try out for the Center Stage Spotlight designer! I am glad I am not the one who has to choose from all of the entries!
