Warm winter wishes

Good evening!

OMGoodness!!! Is it cold! Its cold spells like these that really has me wondering why I live in WI. I know there are many of you suffering through the cold right along with me...so tell me how do you keep warm?

My card tonight was made with the cold weather in mind.
This sweater set is from the stamp set Warm Winter Wishes by Gina K. All the images and the sentiment were stamped with Saddle Brown Stazon on Ivory Velvet Paper, which I picked up last year at a local craft store. The octagon frame for the sweater and scarf was made using Octagon Nestibilities dies. The sentiment was cut out with a Spellbinders double ended label.
I finished off the card with a snowflake border, ribbon and a couple of square brads.

I want to share something my 7 year old daughter told me today...when she grows up she wants to go to school to be a pastry chef so she can decorate cakes - Mom's likes this idea. I guess that is why she is glued to the TLC show The Cake Boss whenever it is on.
She then shared 3 things she will never do... 1) Put a snake in her mouth... 2) Put a long nail up her nose... 3) Swallow a sword. Hmmm...Mom is wondering where she came up with those! Maybe she was thinking of joining the circus before becoming a pastry chef...LOL!

I hope you have a warm and cozy rest of your evening!!!

Hugs,

Sharri, your sweater set card is so cute. It hasn't even been that cold here and I am already over it. Bring on the warm weather and sunshine!

Tell your daughter I will be her pastry tester anytime!

Love how you put this card together Sharri. I also love to stamp on velvet paper. That is perfect for this set. We are having very cold weather too but I don't think as cold as you. Don't you love to hear these stories from the kids!

Your daughter is too cute...amazing where they come up with this stuff, right?

It's cold here in Central FL too...frost everywhere...and we may get down into the teens Saturday night...yikes!
