My card for the challenge started out much different and quickly took on a mind of it's own! My original thought was to stamp the snowman from Warm Winter Wishes and instead of having him hold a heart, I was going to stick his arms out and have him wear mittens. Well I opened one of my craft drawers and saw the flower soft globe and that was the end of the snowman wearing mittens and the being of the snow globe mitten! lol!
I sketched the mitten on a piece of scrap paper, cut it out and traced it twice on a thin piece of chipboard. (I needed the card sturdy enough to hold the flower soft globe).

I traced the mitten template 4 times on the blue cs and glued the blue cs to both sides of the back chipboard mitten and the front side of the front chipboard mitten. I cut an oval in the front chipboard mitten. This is the opening for the globe. The inside of the globe is a little scene I made using the stamps from Warm Winter Wishes and Holiday Cheer. The snowman is colored with copics and the snow on the trees are liquid applique puffed up. I tore the edged of white cs and popped up pieces to create the layered snow. I added tinsel glitter to the heart and the edges of the torn paper. The sky was brayered using Bashful Blue, Ballet Blue and Night of Navy. I used score tape to adhere the background scene to the snow globe but before I complete adhered it, I added some Polar White Flower soft, Glitter and Ice Clear Roxs for the snow. I slipped the globe through the oval opening in the front mitten and glued the last blue paper mitten to cover the back of the globe.
I stamped snowflakes on the mitten and added the cuff which is cut from velvet paper then embossed with the distress stripes cuttlebug embossing folder.

I can not wait to see the inspiration the rest of the girls have to share tonight!
