Vintage Cardinal

Hello my friends!

Yay!! It's Friday!!!
I am still in awe from Wednesday night CSS past and present blog hop! There was so much eye candy to see. I hope you were able to check it out...especially if you are looking for Christmas card ideas. I also would like to thank everyone that stopped by my blog and for the wonderful comments!!! I loved reading each one of them and it means a lot that you took the time to comment! :o)

I have another card to share from the release party. This one uses Vintage Borders and First Christmas. I used my favorite images in both of these sets. Can you guess which ones they are? They are the cardinal and music notes border.

The music notes are stamped on ivory pl paper with London Fog ink. I tore the edges and rubbed Old Paper distressed ink on the edges before matting it on Gina's new Smokey Slate paper and also tore the edges of the Smokey Slate paper. The buttons in the corners are from Gina's new Neutral button assortment.

The cardinal was stamped with Tuxedo Black in on white pl paper and colored with copics. I recolored it with a versamarker and heat embossed it with clear ep.

The ornaments were stamped with versamark on Good As Gold paper and heat embossed with rangers gold ep. After I cut them out, I thought they would look cute with the ornament hooks.

I popped up the ornaments, added the peace sentiment to the smaller ones and popped the cardinal up on the bigger one so it looked like he was sitting on top of it.

Thank you for poppin' in today and have a fabulous rest of your day!
