Stamp TV Customer blog hop

Happy Sunday!
Have you heard about Stamp TV's very first Customer blog hop? Gina and Jessica are challenging us to create a card using one of their new release stamp sets.
This month's release stamp sets are:
Festive Frame
First Christmas
Vintage Borders
Winter Friends
Signed with Love
Calendar Bits and Pieces
Calendar Grid
or the StampTV Holiday Cheer Kit.

Over on Gina's blog is a Mr Linky box that you can link your blog hop project to. You can also see all the links to the other customer's project in the Mr Linky box. You have until tomorrow (11/23) at 8pm CST to add your link.

For my project I made a shadow box using the penguin images from Winter Friends.
I started out with two pieces of cs cut 5x7" and each of them scored at 1/2, 1, 6, 61/2. I cut the window out of one piece of cs using a spellbinders labels 3 die and added a piece of Pretty in Pink cs frame around it. The penguin on the outside was colored with copics, prisma and koh-i-noor pencils, recolored with a versamarker and heat embossed with clear ep. I added ribbon, buttons, and snowflakes to the front for embellishments.
For the inside of the shadow box I used the skating penguin. I stamped this little guy on white pl paper, colored em' with copics, prisma, and koh-i-noor pencils, recolored em' with a versamarker and heat embossed with clear ep. I masked the sky and brayered the water using Going Gray, Bashful Blue and Not Quite Navy. Then I masked the water and brayered the sky using Pretty in Pink, Bashful Blue and Not Quite Navy. I dabbed liquid applique around the water edges, sprinkled glitter over it and heated it to puff it up a bit.
Here is a close-up of the inside image...it really shows all the sparkle and shine. The water has a a different look to it. Yesterday at the One of a Kind Rubber Stamp and Scrapbook show I bought some Clear Crackled Paint and used it on the water. It
I had so much fun at the show with Jessica, Shelly, Karen and Judy. It was not as crowded at it has been in the past so we were able to really look through everything. I know I spent way too much money but there was so many tempting goodies that I just had to have!!! We also popped in at the Women's Expo and were a bit disappointed by it. It was not what we were expecting at all.

Have a wonderful rest of weekend!

Aren't those Stamp/Scrapbook shows just the most fun...I went to one in July with some friends and had a blast. Obviously spent too much, but hey it is only a few times a year...already looking forward to the next one in July :o)
