Silhouette card and I was tagged with an award or two!

Hello my friends!

I have a few things to share with you tonight. I have a card to share and a couple of awards. I received the awards a while ago and need to apologize for not sharing them sooner!
First let's talk about the card...I made it with a new stamp set from Close to My Heart I picked up at the Rubber Stamp and scrapbook show this past weekend. The stamp set is called Childhood Portrait. When I saw this set I knew I would be perfect to use when I do brayered backgrounds.
The card size is 5x7. I masked the ground and brayered the sky with Pretty in Pink, Bashful Blue, and Brilliant Blue. I removed the mask on the ground and used it to over the sky and sponged in the ground using Wild Wasabi and Garden Green. The patch of grass along the horizon is one of the stamps in the set. I stamped it first with Garden Green and again with Wild Wasabi. The trees were stamped with Rich Cocoa and I added Fuschia Flower Soft to them for added dimension. The silhouette of the children was stamped with versamark and rich cocoa and heat embossed with clear embossing powder. I punched out some labels in the Brilliant Blue and Chocolate Chip cs using the SU label punch, layered them and added them to the bottom sides of the card. I added blue nail head to the end of each. Of course after I glued the labels on I was not sure I liked them but I was not about to rip them off and ruin the rest of the card!
