I have a quick post today. It's a card I made for this weeks sketch challenge on Stamp TV. I used the new Timeless Treasures stamp set Theresa Momber illustrated for Gina K Designs. I love this cameo image and wanted to make a card with a vintage feel to it.
The image was heat embossed with zing opaque finish embossing powder. Here's a little tip which you may or may not know, copic markers will change the color of this embossing powder. I started coloring the face with copics and when the marker touched the embossing it changed it to white. I stopped using the copics and switched to pearlescent chalks and EZ chalk enhancer. I cut the image out with the petite oval nesties. The dp is Basic Grey's Porcelain and the cs is more mustard. The button on the top of the image is from a big picture of antique buttons I got from my Grandmother, as it the button in the center of the flower. The flower by the way is crocheted...yup...I crochet. I found a few patterns on-line and have been playing around with them so you will be seeing more of these on my cards.
To finish the front of the card I added a piece of lace along the bottom.

Sharri, this card is just so stunning! I love the colors and papers you used. Gorgeous!
I don't know what is prettier--the inside or outside! Gorgeous. The lace is perfect with the cameo.
This is so pretty! Love the crocheted flower, nice design!
Love this card too! Very soft and beautiful. Great layout!
These are soooo lovely! I'm working on developing more of a vintage/shabby chic look myself. I love these! I love your crocheted flower. I'm going to hang out with a friend friday night who I think can do it. If your know of a simple online tutorial for this and could refer me, I would really appreciated it. I seen a really cool card the other day, and I don't know where now, and the designer had crocheted around the edges for a border, really cool looking.
