Happy Monday!
I wanted to post this card before the storms hit this evening since my Internet does not like to work when it rains. We have tornado warnings east of us and are predicting severe storms by me in about an hour or so. I guess it's a good night to hunker down in my crafting corner, hee hee!
The stamps I used are from a Gina K stamp set release in July called The Journey. Asela Hopkins is the illustrator for this one.
When I started this card I had this door image stamped on the front of a card, no layers at all. I started coloring with my copics and went way overboard with the siding of the house and it looked aweful! I didn't want to scrap the entire image because I really liked how the door looked so we had a change of plans for the layout.
I cut out the image, rounded the corners and layered it on another new pendant I picked up. this one is called Fleur De Lis. The pendant was cut using Really Rust cs and I did direct to paper with Really Rust ink pad. The sentiment was cut with the double ended labels die and I also did direct to paper with the Rust ink pad for this too.
The card base is the woodgraining technique. Gina has a great video tutorial on Stamp TV for this technique.
Thank you for visiting me today!
Have a great evening!
Hugs,
