Hi!
Oh my goodness what a last couple of weeks I have had. My youngest daughter and I have been sick. She started with a sinus infection last week. By Sunday night she was slowly getting worse so another trip to the doctor and chest x-rays Tuesday resulted in a switch of antibiotics for walking pneumonia. Today I got a call from school to pick her up and off to the doctor we went. She is now on antibiotics for an ear infection. On top of her being sick and trying to take care of her, I am dealing with a sinus infection like one I have never had! Since Thursday I have waves of dizziness/nausea whenever I move. It was so bad that I could not get out of bed for 4 days...Thankfully I can move around now but still get those waves, just not as severe. I have my fingers crossed that we will both be reaching the end of this really soon.
I had started this card before my fun began and was able to finish up last night. The image is from the same set I was playing around with last week, Gina K's Elegant Flowers. This time I used the iris's. I stamped them with Mementos tuxedo black ink on ivory layering weight pure luxury paper and colored them with copics. (B60, B63, YG13, YG25, and T0). I added a little bit of sparkle to the flowers with my sakura glitter pen. The iris's are double matted using the large and small rectangle nestibilities.
The sentiment is from Framed Friends and is stamped with Almost Amethyst ink on ivory layering weight pure luxury paper. I cut out the sentiment and mat using the nestibilities large and small mega scalloped rectangles.
The cs is almost amethyst and a textured taupe colored paper I have had lying around for quite awhile.
The dp is Basic Greys Wisteria. I used a Martha Stewart border punch on a piece of the taupe colored cs and cut a small strip from a purple piece of Petaloo's Glitter sheets to put behind the lace. The lace I found at a second hand store in a nearby town.
Have a wonderful rest of your evening!
Hugs,

Your poor daughter! I hope the both of you are on a speedway to recovery.
Very pretty card. I love irises. Amazing that you could even get it done with being so ill.
