SCS Sketch Challenge

Good Afternoon!

It is back to winter here in Southern Wisconsin. It has been snowing since very early this morning. It's been one of those days that is perfect to curl up on the couch and watch movies all day or read a book, which I wish could have done. I am heading out the door for dinner at my Mom's. She is cooking for all of her kids.

The card I would like to share with you today is one I made for this weeks SCS sketch challenge.
You can read all the details for the challenge here.
I used So Saffron, Summer Sun, Regal Rose and Pure Luxury cardstock. The dp is from Black Market's Rhythm pack.
The image is from Inkadinkado's Beauty Stems From Here stamp set. I stamped the flower with Memento tuxedo black ink and colored it with copics. I used sticklers in the center of the flower and watercolored the petals with my sakura glitter pen.
I used both the circles and oval nesties on the card. The little flowers in the DP seamed a bit much for me so I added a strip of So Saffron grosgrain ribbon to break it up a bit. I watercolored sticklers on the ribbon to give it the some sparkle. The border is Martha Stewart's Embossed Petals punch. The embossed flowers did not stand out very well so I used Rub-on paste to make them a little more noticeable. IRL they do stand out but not in the picture so well. In the center of the flowers are brown rhinestones.
I hope you enjoy the rest of your weekend!
