Hi!
I am sorry for being away so long! My day job has kept me quite busy and it does not show signs of slowing down, which I know is good right now but it's getting in the way of my stamping! LOL! I promise I will post when ever I can!
We are in a DEEP freeze here in Southern Wisconsin. When I got up this morning it was 12 degrees below zero and a wind chill of -25 to -40 depending on how windy it is at the time. It is now 2:00 p.m. and the temp is a at the high for the day, 4 below zero! I will be adding more blankets on my bed tonight - it is suppose to get down to 21 below! Yikes!
I was desperately in need of some me time so I signed up for Jessica's paper piecing class at Gina K's Tuesday night. There was only two of us at the class so it was perfect for me to just hang out and relax.
I would like to share the note cards I made at the class with you. The cost of the class included a Basic Grey 6x6 paper pad of your choice and the Framed Friends stamp set. Since I already had the Framed Friends set, I was able to pick out another stamp set of equal or lesser cost. I chose Whimsical Valentine because I love the sentiments and that little bee is adorable!
I used copic markers to shade and color in the parts of the images that were not paper pieced or to make the paper different color. With the ladybug image, I colored over the paper to make the grass green and the sky blue.
The base of the card is black and I used he same BG papers that were used for the images. The embellishments are Kaiser Pearls, buttons, fiber threaded through the buttons, ribbon and doodlebug glitter.
I plan to make more 3x3 note cards using the rest of the images in this set and the Bittersweet paper to make a gift pack of note cards.
Thank you so much for visiting!
Have a awesome rest of your day!
Sharri

Oh these are so cute.
Love these, Sharri! How fun to get to take a class with Jessica. Most of the time I am wishing I lived closer, but with that cold you are experiencing, I think I am happy where I am. Stay warm!
