Tag - your it!!

Hiya!!

I am tonight this evening to share a tag I made for this weeks My Favorite Things Stamp Club challenge. You can read all about the challenge here.
Stamp: My Favorite Things
Ink: Memento, Copics
Paper: Gina K, Basic Grey, Copic X-press It
Other: Spellbinders, Nestibilities, Cuttlebug Embossing Folder, Ribbon, Twine, Eyelet

I used Spellbinders labels 17 for the tag base. I ran red labels 17 tags through my cuttlebug using the Swiss Dots embossing folder and did the same with the long rectangle behind my image. The image is the A La Modes Birthday Girl and I colored her with copics, R02, R22, R24, R20, E07, E35, E51, E53, Y15, Y17, Y28, C5, C6, and C7. I paper pieced the cupcake liner with Basic Greys Cupcake paper. The icing on the cupcake is white liquid applique before I puffed it up with my heat tool, I glitter sprinkled on liquid applique. I also added glitter to her crown and used my clear glaze pen to add some shine to her shoes and gloves.
I gave her a pearl necklace and earring using some very small white pearls that I got as a gift.
Here is another view of this glammed up gal.

Since this tag is fairly big, I decided I would use it not only for a tag on a gift but could also use it for the card as well so I finished off the back.

Thank you so much for stopping by tonight! Have a wonderful rest of your evening!

Did you hear?

Good morning Stampers!

I wanted give a shout out to my dear friend Jessica Fick. Jess is moving on to new opportunities and I wish her all the best and much success in her new ventures!

I also want to encourage you to visit her blog and read all about her iEmbellish Virtual Card Kits. I got a peek at one of the kits and they are fabulous! She should really call them a mini magazine because they have so much packed into them, much more detail than the kits she designed for Gina K Designs. If you loved her Gina K card kits, you are gonna flip over these!

Congratulation Jess!!
Hugs,

Fun with Flowers

Hello stampers!!

I have another quick post for you this morning to share another card I made a while ago but have not posted on my blog.

Stamps: Fun Year Round
Ink: Memento
Paper: Gina K Pure Luxury, Vellum
Other: Prisma pencils, OMS, Ribbon, Brads Flower Punch, Circle Punch

I randomly stamped the flowers from Fun Year Round on a piece of vellum with fresh snow ink. After the ink dried, I flipped the vellum over and colored the backside of the flower with prisma pencils and oms. I love how this turned out and can see doing this again for a stained glass effect.

The cardstock is all Gina K's Pure Luxury papers, White, Lovely Lavender and Vibrant Violet.
I finished off the card with brads, ribbon and a punched out flower to hold me sentiment which is also from the Fun Year Round set.

Thanks for checking in with me today!!

Sweet Treats for you.

Hello Stampers!

I have a Halloween treat holder to share with you today. Originally I had made this for the MFT Stamp Club but read the challenge wrong. The challenge was to decorate a gift sack or treat bag. Well I made a treat holder that is not a bag. LOL!  I will have to make sure I read those challenges carefully next time.

I used Spellbinders Labels 16 to make the box. I cut out 5 labels using the biggest die and took 4 of them and lined them up on my score pal with he center points at 4 1/4 then scored the label at 5 1/2 and at 3 inches. The last die, I scored diagonally at each corner. Before gluing the sides together, I ran each label through the cracked embossing folder. The folder is a Tim Holtz sizzix one. I just love the look of this one, don't you?

On the cover I used 3 different Dienamic dies. The Rolled Rose, the Leaf Trio which comes with the Sheltering Tree die and the Oval Chain Border dies which I cut in half and rolled around a pencil to make it look like a vine.

Here is a picture with the top on the treat holder.
Supplies: Spellbinders labels 16,
Sizzix Cracked Embossing Folder,
Dienamic dies
As soon as I finished taking pictures of this, my daughter claimed this little basket of treats as her own and I haven't seen it since! lol!

Thanks you so much for stopping by, I appreciate it!!

Honey, Grow old with me

Hiya!

Did you all survive your Monday? It was tough but I survived! hee hee!
Today I have a card for you that I made for the 7Kids College Fund Challenge. The challenge was to user layers and flowers. A very easy challenge for me since I love layering and flowers!

Stamps: Stampavie, Gina K - Love Notes & Vintage Backgrounds
Paper: Basic Grey, SU, Copic X-press It
Ink: Memento, Vivid, Copic - B91, B93, B95, B97, R14, R17,
R21, R22. BG93, BG96, Y17, W4, W5, W6, W0, W00,
E000, E00, E25, E27, E30,E31, E34, E40,
E41, E42, E43, E44, E50, E51, E53
Other: Prima & Paper Flowers, Leaf Branch Punches,
Ribbon, Twine, Spellbinders Tags, and Rectangle Nestibilitities.

I used an adorable stamp from Stampavie called Crush on You. I colored the kids with copics and added a bit of shimmer to the girls flower on her shirt and her hair tie with a glitter pen. I also added a coat of crystal lacquer to her shoes so they are nice and shiny.
The pattern paper is from Basic Grey's Boxer pack. The sentiment is from Gina K's Love Notes stamp set.
Thanks for checking in with me today and have a wonderful day!

Mmm ice cream

Hiya!

Have you every made a card for challenge and completely forgot to submit it? Can you see my hand waving?
I have done that a few time...not gonna say how many but a few *wink*!

My card I am sharing today is one of them.

Stamps: MFT Here's the Scoop
Ink: Memento - Rich Cocoa, Versamark
Paper: SU, DCWV
Other: Spellbinders - tags, labels, clear embossing powder

This was suppose to be for the My Favorite Things Stamp Club Challenge, which was paper piecing. I used the MFY Here's the Scoop stamp set and DCWV Citrus pattern papers. I love this stamp set because one of my favorite foods is ice cream. Yum!

The only thing I did not paper piece is this gals skin and the floor. I colored her skin with copics E000 and E00. For the floor I did the wood graining technique.

I did not add any embellishment because I thought it might be a little much with all the paper piecing going on.

I appreciate you visiting today! Have a wonderful rest of your day!

Funny Farm Blog Hop

Hello my friends!!

Tonight I am hopping with the talented Gina K designers to show you a fun stamp set called Funny Farm. This set has the cutes images, especially the animals! I love their expressions!

For a limited time, the coordinating card kit designed by Jessica Fick is included for free with the purchase of the Funny Farm stamp set. To view the full card kit, visit Jessica's blog post here for all the details.

Lets take a look at the cards I made to share tonight.
Stamps: Funny Farm
Ink: Copics, Tuxedo Black, Ladybug
Papers: Gina K Pure Luxury
Other: Spellbinders Double Ended Labels, Labels,
Sizzix Embossing Folders, ribbon, Silver Nailheads
The farm scene n the background was colored with copics, E39, E31, E33, E34, E35, E37, YR17, YR25,YR21, YR23, YR24, YG91, YG93, YG95, YG95, YG97, R24, R27, C0 , C1, C2, C3, C4, C5, C6, and C7. The animals are colored with Kohinoor pencils and oms. The papers I used are Gina's Pure Luxury Red Hot, Sweet Corn, Grass Green and White. I used the Checkerboard embossing folder on the Green Apple and the Square Lattice on the Sweet Corn.

I almost did not include my next card in my post because I did not like how the lamb looked in my picture. But I did decide to include it and share why the lamb looks as he does. *smile*
Stamps: Funny Farm
Ink: Memento, Copic
Paper: Gina K Pure Luxury
Other: Die-namic Dies, Spellbinders Labels 16 & 17,
Flock, Glue Pen

All the papers are Gina's Pure Luxury. The tree and grass were cut out with Tan Leather and Green Apple. The card base is Little Boy Blue and the lamb was stamped on white. I sponged a bit of Bamboo leaves behind the grass and some summer sky above that for the sky.

Before talk about the lamb I have a question for you...Do your kids or Grandkids sit and stamp with you or hang out with you while you stamp? Well Abbi was sitting with me making cards and chatting up a storm. Given that, let me explain the lamb. I colored his feet, ears, and tail with C4 and C5. His nose with R000, R00, and R11. I used C0 and C1 to add a bit of shadow for his wool and while doing that I decided to cover it with flock after I blended out the shadow. Well Abbi was quite chatty at this point and instead of grabbing my colorless blender, I grabbed my quickie glue pen. Now as you know glue pens do not blend copics so my poor little lamb has a harsh line to him even after I covered him in flock. I plan to fix the lamb by stamping another image and popping it up over the one on the card. Remember, there are no mistakes in stamping! *wink*

For this hop we were challenged to create a card or project based on the this sketch...

I had a lot of fun with this sketch and made two card with it.

Paper: Cosmo Cricket, Old Olive, Lovely Lavender
Copic X-press It
Other: Labels 10, Scalloped Tags, Swiss Dots EF,

For my first card I used new Tea Time stamp set. When I saw this set I fell in love with the little tea cups all stacked up so of course I had to use that image! I colored the cups with copics using colors to match Cosmo Crickets Pixie-licious pattern paper. The colors I used are YG21, YG23, YG25, V12, V15, V17, BG11, BG13, BG15, YR00, YR01, YR02, Y11, 13, and 15.
Let check out my next card...

Stamps: Buds and Vases, A Beautiful Life
Ink: Copics, Mementos, Tempting Turquoise,
Copic X-Press It
Paper: Cosmo Cricket, Tempting Turquoise, Misc Coral
Other: Labels 6, Pearls, Stickles, Long Rectangles

I used a couple of stamp sets for this card. The jar is from the new Buds and Vases stamp set and the sentiment and butterflies are from A Beautiful Life. I used some more of the Pixie-licious pattern papers for this card and colored the butterflies to match using YR000, YR00, YR01, YR02, Y00, Y11, Y13, Y15, and Y17. I added stickles to the wings and colored the bodies with a black Atyou Spica pen. The jar was shaded with BG10 and BG11, the lid was colored with C1, C2, C3, C4, and C5.

Are you ready to continue on your way through the hop? Your next stop is to the fabulous Sue Van DeVusse. Wait till you see what she has to share!!

Autumn is in the air

Happy Thursday stampers!

One of my favorite things about Autumn is the colors. Here in Wisconsin the trees are turning color and they are gorgeous!
My card today was made with those fall colors in mind.
Stamps: Fanciful Fall
Ink: More Mustard, Pumpkin Pie, Really Rust
Black, Mellow Moss, Always Artichoke
Paper: Barely Banana, Chocolate Chip,
Gina K - Sweet Mango, White PL
Other: Spellbinders Labels 16, Square Lattice EF,
Prisma/Kohinoor Pencils, OMS, Copper Nailheads
**************************************************************************
All the images and the sentiment are from Gina K's Faniciful Fall stamp set. I colored directly on the tree stamp with memento markers before stamping it on the paper. I recolored the tree and leaves with a versamarker before heat embossing with clear embossing powder. Next I added my sky by brayering more mustard, then I masked the sun using a circle punched from a post-it-note and brayered pumpkin pie but not quite covering the more mustard. Lastly, I brayered really rust but not quite covering the pumpkin pie.
I covered the sky and brayered on the ground using mellow moss and always artichoke. I sponged a bit of black along the bottom of the ground for a bit of shadow. I matted the scene on barely banana and chocolate chip that I first embossed with the square lattice embossing folder. The card base is Gina K's sweet mango.
The sentiment was stamped with pumpkin pie and the grass with always artichoke then cut out using spellbinders labels 16. The pumpkin was colored with prisma and kohinoor pencils and oms.
I finished off the card with a few copper nail heads in the upper right hand corner.

Thank you for stopping by and I hope you enjoyed Autumn inspired card!

Thank you from the Funny Farm

Hello stampers!
I can not believe it's been whole week since I last posted! I have been having problems with my blog. Not sure what is going on but I keep getting a server error. I just have to find the time to look into it. Arrgghh! It took me a while but I was finally able to get a post to publish!

Tonight I would like to share a card that I made for a challenge over on Stamp TV. The challenge was to make a note card using these dimensions - 2 3/4 x 4 1/4 inches.

I used a stamp from Gina K's Funny Farm which was released last week. The images are in this set are so fun! My daughter has been having fun stamping with them too!
I stamped this little farmer gal on Copic X-press It paper and colored her with copics R11, R20, R21, R22, R24, R27, E000, E00, E21, E25, E27, E30, E31, E41, C5, C6, C7, C8, C9, W00, W0, and W1. I cut the image out with Spellbinders Labels 3 and 16.

The paper is Gina K's Red Hot and Black Onyx. I embossed the red hot with Tim Holtz's Regal Flourishes embossing Folder. The pattern paper is Basic Grey's Olivia. I finished off the note card with a ruffled ribbon and brads.

Thank you so much for checking in with my tonight and have a wonderful rest of your evening.
